Myself I spent about a hundred pounds over the course of the year. The rest have either been birthday or christmas presents from relatives that know to get me GW vouchers.

I got back into the hobby in April, and have since picked up between trades and cash:

Around 200 slugga/choppa boys, 120 of them are AoBR so got on the cheap, 40 came from a secret santa, and around 40 in mostly poor condition from a trade. So around $170 there (not counting the trade, and counting my secret santa gift to someone else).

Around 20 burnas, 16 from the trade, the others from the loota box. Counting as 0$.

4 lootas and a mek, $25 from my FLGS.

Trukk, $25 from my FLGS.

Battlewagon, $55 from my FLGS.

Nob Box, $25 from my FLGS.

Killa Kans, $45, from my FLGS.

6 Metal Kans from Dakka, $50.

KFF Big Mek, Ebay, $15.

6 Warbuggies, Ebay and Dakka, about $70.

3 Wartrakks, Dakka, about $25.

3 old Trukks, Dakka, about $25.

Around a dozen warbikes, Ebay for 3 and 9ish from trades on dakka, so around $20.

15ish Koptas, all aobr, 9 from trades, about $30.

40ish AoBR nobs, almost all from trades.

AoBR - $60 from Amazon (Gave the marines to Gits for his kids)

Bits on Ebay, about $50.

Paints, over $250 (about $50 in Folk Art, a slightly used VGC case, and around $50 in Createx airbrush paints)

Brushes, around $60 ($30 for 3 W&N S7, which I love)

Airbrush Setup, $200ish (Airbrush, Compressor/regulator/trap, hose, cleaning station)

So, around $1300. But I have only bought about two video games since I got back into 40K, and haven't spent any money on my other hobbies. I'm very close to having everything I want for my ork army at this point (Need some gretchin, another Trukk, another Battlewagon, and possibly another box of nobs).

Assuming a 15% discount off of retail I've spent around $1400 on 40k this year. I spent a lot on expanding my nids, BA and getting eldar off the ground.

ok, I am going to say it. $3000 on GW stuff? SERIOUSLY?
I could live off Greggs for the year with that, or buy 5 labrador retriever puppies, or a car.
Or I could spend it on Warhammer

But could you afford the mobility scooter that you'd need to get down there after all the mayo made you enormously fat?
