Nice work so far, looking forward to see how you progress.

Having one of these built and painted myself I know what a mammoth project this is.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Hello everyone!

I finished the Stompa Head piece today. I must say that it came out really well! I used a wet blend of blazing orange and golden yellow on the jaw to get a worn and sun-beaten look. I may go back and do it a little more on the face part as well. Mixing blood red and mechrite red. Anywho, let me know what you all think!

The next step is to put the little ork pilot/general in top and then put the silly comm grot in his crows nest. Then I will move on to the arms, probably starting with the chainsword arm.

Comments and questions etc are always appreciated!

Well truthfully, I'd never want to play the army myself, but It's pretty awesome all the conversion possibilities they present.

I love my buddy's conversions, I've been trying to get him to start a blog on here, but no luck as of yet.

I haven't seen the head finished in person but the pics look waaaay better blown up than they do on a cellphone screen! : )

It's looking great, can't wait to see it all finished in person. I'm still laughing over you dropping the chainsaw arm and the magnets flying everywhere

I've said it already, but the grot on the crow's nest is freakin' hilarious.

Can't wait to fight it.

I know! I love the grot. And yeah, defo by the end of summer we can have an Apoc battle and hopefully it can blast away at all sorts of stuff haha. Failing that it'll explode and kill everything on the table! YAY!

Hey everyone!

I FINALLY got a chance to get my stompa arm painted up! I chose the chainsword arm first as it seemed the simplest. Here are the results!

In all its greasy, mechanic, deadly glory!

Another view of the arm, detached

The energy barrel that charges the arm... is ANGRY!

And some shootas, just for good measure...

Comments and questions are always appreciated! More to come soon hopefully

Hey everyone,

I FINALLY received my magnets and got a chance to finish the stompa's gun arm! It looks awesome, although i had a few problems with the magnets. Here it is, in all its shooty glory! I still have to add the ammo box, grot rokkits, and little grot tinkerers to the gun, but at this point, I could put it on the field and represent the weapons it has! Huzzah! Hope to get a game in soon.

At last! The missiles are done! Now I can do some proppa killin'

Here are the missiles, in all their silly and explodey glory!

Their names are Wendy + Angry Ben, Li'l Tim, Betty, and Karl. Enjoy!

I wanted to make the names look and sound sort of childish. I mean, they are Orks afterall. They aint the sharpest race in the galaxy.

You may notice that the names start to turn upside down. I painted them all as if they were upright and then as they were glued down the drum, they started to flip. If you look at the Stomp from the top, as the player and as the Ork commander, the names appear upright, so it made sense to me to leave it that way. The rok commander would glance and say something like, "Oi, send Betty down there to show 'em who's boss!" etc etc.

I intend to get the grots finished this weekend and then be 100% complete with the Stompa! Comments and questions are always appreciated!

I understand. It's kind of a joke that my friends and I have. My friend names all of his Chaos Space Marines that are exceptionally freaky or have some remebrance value. His names are silly, like Johnny Rico, Bubblegum Jones, Ygradn Filth, etc. He also has 'Have a nice day" written on his tank treads as it runs someone over. Not exactly Chaos, but damn fun haha.

Looks fantastic. I think the flame design is a really cool idea. Even though I have seen it on many pieces, I have never seen it on a STOMPA before. LOL Nice work

Well, thanks. I have it on my trukk and a Deff Dread as well. I intend to put a similar pattern on my BattleWagon when I get one, as well as my new deff dread. With the stompa it took FOREVER to wet-blend because it's such a huge model. Literally 4 hours + to do the body alone. GAH! Anywho, this weekend I intend on finish the grots and ammo bucket and being 100% doen with this monstrosity.

Hey everone!

The big day has finally arrived! The Stompa is complete WOOOOOHOOOOO *throws confetti as fireworks burst*

It's been one Hell of a long time since I started, but at last he is table worthy. Here are the last set of pics. There are a lot, but this will be the final pic post from me! Thanks for all your comments!

Today's work, the grots!

And the last thing some enemies see is a snidy little git flippin' them off!

And here are a few 'overview shots'. The stompa in it's totality and some of my favorite parts as seen earlier in the thread.

Again, thank you all for the comments and keep them coming
