I can't speak highly enough about the folks at Reaper. Their hq is only an hour from me and I've gone to their paint club several times where you can freely interact with the studio painters and use their paints for free. One of my friends wanted to pick up a mini there that they were out of so the employee disappeared into the back then came out 5 minutes later with a freshly cast one. If that's not customer service, I don't know what is

I've also been to the storefront/factory North of Dallas. Great, friendly people. After a tournament we had there, we got a factory tour and saw them cast some minis.

While I was there, I told Klocke and Jackson that their elves are great, but need more cleavage.

The rest is history...

This is news, actually. As someone that buys a lot from Reaper, I had no idea this was coming down and might have been worried if I hard about Hobby Q through some other means.

My beef wasn't with the fact of whether or not it was news or not. It was how it was presented. We hear all the time about appropriately titleing your threads so as to not mislead forum-readers into threads. For instance, if I were to put, "NEW SPACE WOLF CODEX!!" in a thread and then said, 'Not really, but I heard there may be a new Grey Knight codex coming out." It would be locked. Or I would get scolded for appropriately titleing my thread. I could care less whether or not Reaper's name is being changed, but if it were actually being acquired, that might be something interesting.

Except that Kroot's update can be seen to be adding something to the thread and is therefore allowed under the rules.

With respect I would rather have the info all in one place rather than a new thread every other month.

Please may we move the argument about titles and what constitutes a necro elsewhere as it is technically OT and the rules doth quothe that is woth one ought to do.

Personally I would've made a new "reaper releases" thread rather than use this one about the name change, but hey, it's Kroot's choice

Yeah, I just took the latest thread on Reaper new releases and added these two March releases.
Currently I am not in the mood to start and regularly update a full Reaper news thread.

I usually go wtih something humorous for my Reaper news threads, as a company they don't seem to take themselves too seriously. I mean they're the ones who gave the world the Were Shark and the Dwarf Pirate Were Shark.

And you'll note this did have news, I think at this point Reaper puts out more new minis a month than GW.

So yeah, I think this is a totally fair news and rumor thread and wouldn't raise an eyebrow if someone else posted the same thing.
