WTF? Anyway, this seems worth it if I wanted to add Bjorn to my still non-existant army, which no one has commented on my question about that yet. Though I'd have to leave him with autocannons unless the plasma cannon is in there and isn't mentioned.

I personally run him, although that's just my preference as I tend to dislike characters in general (they're huge point sinks and die to krak missiles too easily). As i see it he's an upgraded Dreadnought (which I take alot). I've heard good things about rune priests though, so it should be a good combination.

And Eldar Jetbikes did not age anywhere near as well as Bjorn did =P

I've been wanting to start up a 13th company Space Wolves army led by Rune Priests and Bjorn. However since that conflicts with Canon, is there any other character I can run as a "count as" Bjorn?

Yeah its a 93 model, along with Ulrich, Ragnar, storm caller etc
Pretty sure that it would have been cast in lead before they moved over to Tin.

Reading some of the comments form the younger lot made me chuckle but you cant blame them, i would think it was a bit crappy if i had never been there at the time. For me its a classic model even if Codex Space wolves was the route of all evil in 2nd edition.

Wait until you tell people you used to be able to get 30 marines for £10, or three Rhinos for the same price, that will really blow some minds...

Ok I may only be 22 but I've been at this game for a while, must admit all the flak this poor chap's getting is pretty funny, its actually quite amusing that people say it looks like a moded AoBR.

Shows that it still looks pretty good next to the new stuff unlike some things I could name.

Its nice to see the classic models making a comeback, GW is reintroducing stuff just as the hype for that army is dying down, quite cunning really.

Glad they put the 4th ed metal IG commander back on order, always loved him.

Oh and I got that model for Christmas just after I started playing... my Space Wolves have never taken to the field without him

20, actually. That'd be 3000 points and actually a legal army. And then have them start the game in overwatch due to that one strategy card.

My opponents heavily invested in vortex grenades...

Eh i'd still just convert up a dred or ven dred. Less money, more parts & best of all plastic.

That is a new paintjob. It use to be much lighter and duller, as well as not having that design on his leg. In some versions the claw was also bright orange for some reason.

That, and in 2nd edition pretty much all of the 40K studio models were on green-edged, sand-painted-as-grass bases.

I remember Bjorn well, one of my main opponents in 2nd ed was a wulfie player. If it's a strict re-release of the old kit you only get the assault cannon. The metal dreads at that time were (Ultramarine) assault cannon/powerfist, (Bjorn) assault cannon/lightning claw, (Dark Angel) twin-linked lascannon/missile launcher, and (Blood Angel) multimelta/powerfist
I had the model myself (gotten for the lightning claw) and I don't know what I ever did with it when I got tired of trying to grind that wolf pelt off of his arm
