Ahhh, quite the collection, including some more well-known, and some more obscure titles.

To add to this collection, I give you this: Skeleton of a Town by Inon Zur, from Icewind Dale 2.

In your base, ignoring your logic.

Snoop Dogg's "Drop it like its hot", I mean Kirby's theme song.

I loved Kirby when I was growing up and apparantly so did Snoop Dogg.

most of the soundtrack from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was just beautiful and almost awesome (in the truest dictionary meaning of the word awesome) just one song below.. but i honestly think that i could listen to this soundtrack without playing the game.

Here are some of my favorites (that haven't been mentioned yet):

This track is really beautiful makes me feel like I'm floating through space while contemplating the meaning of it all =) lol.

I actually saluted at the image of my Shepard on the screen at the climax of this piece lol. It was awesome!

The whole last sequence of the game would not have been as awesome without this track in my opinion. Great stuff by Jack Wall

Still pretty awesome after all this time.

Not sure why, but I always enjoyed this tune lol

Same thing lol.

Shhhhhh...be bwery bwery quiet, I'm huntin' hewetics of the Empewa. Huhuhuhuuu...

Once more down to the beach, dear friends, once more,
To drown our sorrows with our English beer!
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of alcohol blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.

All I can add to this list. Theme from Republic Commando. Fit very well with the game, and not a bad song in it's own right.

And let's not forget the mother of all marches, the Soviet theme from RA3!

Great tunes, used ingame at great moments to really enforce the tone of the game. Far Away is played when John is forced to go to Mexico, Compass is played when he finally rides home and Already Dead, well just play the game.

I agree with this. Totally.

Also check on youtube something called 'The Device Has Been Modified.'

Portal stuff remix. Great.

Simply stunning piece of music that worked awesomely with the scripted sound engineering, so well written and produced it could go on for ten minutes without getting boring (And it often did, 'cos of those pesky flood!). Also it has some nice ballsy percussion that is sadly lacky in all the rest of the steadily poorer follow up soundtracks.

A mournful, soulful piece of music, that played when i knew i was reaching the end of the finest game ever made.

Just a great jamesbondtackular exciting piece of music. This was so good it was unmatched by any of the quite poor efforts in 4. Love the slinky funk bass, the flirtatious interplay between brass and strings and the jungle percussions, then a woodwind to add some flavour.
