I have 10 shotgun veterans about half way done and a unit of drop troops almost build, hope to get the vets done by Wednesday and the drop troops built and airbrushed by then too!

I have finished another Drop Troop squad for the Elysian army.

So that's 45 models done so far, I am going to build a command squad or two today and prime them ready to paint.

@ the unforgiven: on the rank and file simply tallarn flesh, orgyn flesh wash then elf flesh to pick out the highlights.

I like the respirator heads but they weren't in the commission brief....

I have 10 Elysians with respiratot heads. (9 actually, after someone swiped one in an Apoc game... Same thing happened to "stonetooth" Harker... Back to the topic)
If you can get your hands on some heads with respirators, you could make them play the role of Stormtroopers.

I have respirator heads in my bits box. This is a commission so I need to put the parts on the models that the client specifies

Even though respirators look awesome!

I simply painted them codex grey then followed the edges and ridges with fortress, then glazed with watered down gryphonne sepia

I think I might try this out, the part with the wash I mean. Your stuff is looking great.

With great difficulty! They are a pain to convert to be honest. You need to cut the hand away from the lasgun and stuff... it's painfully tedious :S In a lot of cases i try and put the special weapon in one hand to avoid having to do this...

I feel your pain, I've been cheating and cutting the hands off the death korps weapon packs for mine, I was hoping you had found a brilliant method but it looks like it was the hard way all round, anyway great job on the conversions they look very seamless!

Damn, I started reading hoping to find a really easy way to do this, as I got the special weapons package in and couldn't figure out how in the frack to equip em, looks like I'll have to be cutting em like I guessed.

Good job on them though, couldn't tell that's what you did
