There is a fungus that brainwashes ants. Basically, it grows on their brain and causes the ant to seek the highest leaf/branch and just sit/clamp on. Then the fungus kills the ant, grows out of its skull....and since it's high up the wind catches it and spreads its spores.

So in this case, the parasite manipulates the organism into a behavior that increases its chances of self replicating...not unlike Stealers I suppose.

Also, when the genestealers have sufficiently rendered a planet unstable enough, they set off a psychic beacon that attracts the hive fleet. Its the way some meddling inquisition bod managed to divert a tendril of such and such a fleet into ork territory, thereby saving some IoM worlds, temporarily. (Kryptman IIRC?)
