Other problem is, we mainly get the standard vulgarity USA comedians on TV here, and after you heard 3 jokes, you'v heard them all, they seem to have a repeat function programmed into them.

I mean, I'd have to have a gun to my head to watch either of those shows, but I think Bristol Palin puts Alaska ahead by a nose because I know she's "a goer."

On behalf of my country I'd like to apolagize for the hell spawn that is reality TV we unleashed by creating Big Brother...

It's difficult to make any accurate generalizations about Americans, given that there are ~300MM of us, and there's a lot of variety inherent to a group of human beings that large.
Incidentally- One thing I hadn't realized until after this thread is that Steve Hughes and Jim Jeffries were roommates and were both there for the robbery incident. Crazy!

Hah, lucky coincidence, Jim Jeffries was on TV last night, watched the full show, and it was a lot better then I remembered So yeah, guess I stand corrected there.

Was Big Brother on air before The Real World?...I always thought Real World was the show that "opened the Gates".
As a side note...I really enjoyed the treatment Big Brother received in Dead Set.

Billy Connolly is also a legend. I remember seeing one of his specials when I was a teenager- the whole masturbation/tarantula bit absolutely broke me.

The first time I went to Europe MTV over there was one of my favorite things to watch! It actually had videos on! And kickass stuff like "top 5 Bjork videos of all time".
