Ok... some new show just aired on comedy central here, called Tosh.O or some bullcrap name.

It's america's funniest home videos, but the videos are just ripped from the internet, and everyone who knows youtube has already seen them.

They even give them voice overs, background laughter(always hate that) and last but not least, the god aweful guy who does the show.

Who the hell watches this gak?

The only one I know of that has done english shows is Hans Teeuwen... do know that cabaret is different from stand up, some parts of his show aren't meant to be funny, just confrontational. I think you can find it under the name Hans Teeuwen live in london.

The worst show in this category is the fething awful show Oops TV. The clips are slightly amusing, but the bit which really pisses me off is the cheap sound effects they repeat a dozen times Justin Lee Collins' (Emperor damm him) voice overs, consisting of horrific, mumbled attempts at being funny.

I enjoy Tosh.0 a fair amount. I don't have the time or desire to search the net for funny videos so getting them in 30 minutes isn't terrible. Believe me, there is far far worse on the airwaves than this.

I don't like searching for videos on the internet very much either, so I find it pretty funny. Not the funniest, but I think its better than the other stuff in the category of "Make fun of the internet."

Comedy depends on the culture you're raised in, what seems like crass to you may be witty to us and what's "humor with some intelligence" to you may be stupid to us.

If you don't follow american football you would've missed one of his newest skits in which he was "catching a rapist" and ended up catching "Ben Roethlisberger".

I don't think you actually watched the show. The videos aren't really the point much of the time. Even so, many people don't spend their life on Youtube, so no, not every video on the internet has been seen.

If this is true (which I doubt) than they added it to the European version. It isn't canned laughter, they have an actual audience in the studio. I think it goes back to you not actually watching the show. I get the impression you saw 5 minutes of it near the beginning of the show, weren't really paying attention, then came on here to complain. If you actually watched it you would know they do more than just show youtube clips and since you haven't mentioned that it would seem you didn't know they have roughly half the show is original content.

I watched a full episode, the original content was just boring IMO.

Main problem in the end is, Dutch TV has the annoying habit of just copying everything the USA puts out without paying attention to the differences in taste.

And you don't see the audience, so I figured it was canned laughter, if not... Doesn't make it less annoying

I try not to watch that show. I'm convinced that Daniel Tosh is a flaming homosexual (I don't normally have an issue with people of that persuasion, hence the application of the term 'flaming'), and some of the things I've seen him do on that show have scarred me for life.

And he is not an amazing comedian. I will admit that he has his moments, but there are much better ones out there.

George Carlin(May he rest in peace), Richard Pryor, Patrice Oneal, Jim Norton, Luis C.K., Bill Burr... Bill Hicks is an excellent choice though.
