Yes, but in order for it to be WYSIWYG, they need a fishing pole.

Lash FAQ states that models cannot be moved out of unit coherency, so even if it were allowed in the shooting phase, Lash prohibits it.

This is why I don't get into moot debates, I always overstate my point and make a mistake, like not focusing on the rules that are presented.
Hypothetically, IF you weren't forced to stay in coherency, you'd be able to move an IC out, but then if AND ONLY IF Lash were used in the Movement phase.
Hypothetically. Try arguing in imaginationland with me, it just won't work!

Nightrave - incorrect, but a common mistake you have made there.
While it is one CHOICE, they are two discrete and separate UNITS. For example a Platoon fgor IG can be 19 separate UNITS but is only ever 1 choice.

+1 to this! Marines have a similar situation, where if you take a Captain (which counts as an HQ on the FOC), you can take a Command Squad that doesn't count against the FOC. However, in situations such as Dawn of War, they are counted as HQ units for the purposes of setting up on the board.

But an easy mistake to make if unfamiliar with the FAQ. That said, I think Lash is a horrible power that should never have been allowed into the system in the first place. You don't make friends with salad, I mean Lash princes.
I'm always shocked by TO calls people post up on these forums. I know they must be rare compared to unreported correct calls but some of these TO just don't seem to care about the rules. that said, deploying troops in each other's dedicated transport strikes me a minor in the grand scheme of things. I suppose if you don't like tourneys which play by the letter of the law you learn to avoid them next time.

You dont really need the FAQ - you are told it is a "move", and during a "mvoe" you are not allowed to voluntarily break coherency.

yeah, without the FAQ, the rules over emphasize that you can't target a single troop in a unit unless the rules specificaly say you can.
I'd laugh if someone tried this with me...

NO NO NO NO NO!! You got it all wrong. You must paint your DP to look like Scorpion off of Mortal Kombat. Everytime you use lash you have to get in perfect dialogue and say, "Get over here!" or "Come here".
Have seriously considered this conversion. lol. It would add fun to an obviously hated psychic power.
