The Goffs (pronounced as if an ork was pronouncing 'goth', hence the Goff's distinctive colours) are the toughest and most brutal Orks, roughly equivalent to Warhammer Fantasy Black Orcs. They value close combat above all else, preferring to carry an array of weapons for close-quarters fighting, and look down with disdain on the other clans who hang back to shoot when they could be experiencing the thrill of fighting hand-to-hand. They have a large proportion of veteran Skarboyz and also carry a lot of units called stormboyz, orks with crude 'rokkit packz'. Goffs dress mostly in black, with some white checks for relief, as they see bright colors as being un-Orky. Anyone deviating too much from the Clan colour scheme will at best be given a "right good kicking" or at worst be booted out of Da Clan or even killed by a passing Nob or Warboss as an example. Their symbol is the black or red bull's head, and Nobz almost always wear big horns on their helmets. Great Overlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka is the most famous member of the Goff Clan.

I wish more people had this attitude. Lots of fun things in the game that are ignored becaue a pie chart and a calculator say they are no good...

That porbably explains why most ork players on this forum are willing to stuff "GET A KFF BIG MEK YOU SQUIG-FOR-BRAINS" down every other ork player's throat

Yes every army (including Orks) has it's percentage of "mathhammer" players...

Doesn't change my original post.

Hey the KFF Mek is a GREAT unit. Thats why its spammed. Besides, anymore people still smash face around KFF meks. But Im with CT gamer, I play for fun first. And I can honestly say Ive made lists with everything in the codex minus stormboyz or a weird boy. Dunno why, Ill get around to them./ But I can tell you alot of those "dont take them they suck" units actually can be pretty powerful if you use them right.

Personally I think the looted wagon is good, just I wouldn't spend the points on the skorcha or more than one big shoota. In a list with lots of other threats, I doubt you have a lot of shots going into the rhino. Of course boom gun is fun also.
As for the burnas, I'd throw in a kustom mega-blasta or two for fun.

Speed freaks 4000 points
Drop Marines 5000+ points Black Templars 1500+ (+1000 WIP)
Word Bearers 1000 points Fleshtearers 3000+ points
Catachan 2000 +(+500 WIP)
Dark Eldar 1500+(+1000 WIP)
High Elves 3000 points Vampire Counts 2000 points

Seriously though, it's a good-looking tank. Just not very Goffy.
Elaborate please? Why is a Boom wagon not very ....Goffy?

ignore, anything with spikes on is Goffy! your wagon looks ded killy

worth remembering with looted wagons that if you know they are tempremental and a bit rubbish - chances are your opponent does and might well leave it alone... big mistake

i have won games by just driving a single trukk up the flank of an army before, opponent thinks "ahh easily dealt with" and just fires a few S4 weapons at it every now and again - and sure a S4 or 5 can pop a truck but only on a 6! it just never happens and by the time they realize that boyz and a powerclaw are about to plow into their shooty units its too late. i think skywalker said it best when he said "YOUR OVER CONFIDENCE IS YOUR WEAKNESS!"

In the Third War of Armageddon Ghazghkull launched Ork Roks at the Hive Cities before attacking. You calling Ghazghkull Un-Goffy?

I think he means to say that a goff in a looted wagon is a coward for firing those kannons instead of tankshocking forward and charging...

I also think that launching Roks is the same as having them land on the enemy and the ladz get out...

Goffs might use looted wagons, meks would build them and grots could man the guns, but normally there are lots of clans fighting so maybe some deffskullz have knicked it during the battle (beacuse the crew are bashing heads in)

But on the sublect of tactics, last time I used a boomwagon, it won the game, It blew a squad of assult marines of an objectives (it was ba and my opponent counted on that squad to capture an objective, he did not expect that kind of firepower from orks) on turn 6 I rolled 'don't touch dat' and it knocked more assult marines off an objective, so I won 2-1

Well done looted wagon

Sorry actually it was Asteroids that Ghazzy dropped on their heads. The Ork Roks landed after that.

Look, No Ork player is not going to go to your game and tell you how to play your army... I personally like you looted wagon, it is very detailed and awesome looking!

If and only if you really wanted to appease other people, that you have not met, from the internet, I guess you just need a Deffskull in charge of the Looted Wagon.

My Kult of Speed army has a lot of the different clans in it, They just ride in different Trukks and Wagons, or pilot Deff koptas...
