Probably work

Super Clean does a pretty good job of OM NOM NOMing the superglue on old miniatures that I want to try to salvage. In the future, I'd consider trying to freeze the miniature first also. It will occasionally make it brittle and snap apart more easily, though you still have to scrape the remnants off.

did you do a test spot to check first? if not, out of morbid curiosity, what did it ruin?

I tried to do a test spot first, but the liquid poured out a little faster than I was anticipating.

The model... Land Raider with Forge World extra armour and Ultramarines doors.

This is the real lesson from the article, not that the p[articular product is bad because the list of unsafe products is very long and difficult to remember, and bad news if you misremember.

The lesson is: always test on something safe.

I keep some sprue, bitz, scrap resin and scrap metal around for testing purposes. I fix what I want to test to the spruie, if testing glue this is the test itself, this makes a test stick. It doesnt really matter what I am testing: undercoat, paint, glue, debonder, paint stripper or varnish they all need testing and this is the way to do it. Other than remembering to wears masks as appropriate, which will be mentioned on the packaging remembering to do a proper test is all you need remember.

Furthermore testing this way is useful if a product has aged, or if in product is of indeterminate quality. A good example here is varnish. I will not use any varnish without a test spray, and that goes double for purity seal.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
