What's the ACTIVE INGREDIENT?
What is it meant to debond (your picture is a bad angle. You give us less than enough information)?

Toluene will debond superglue - it will also turn plastic to goo.
Acetone will debond superglue and turn plastic to goo.
MEK will debond superglue, strip paint, turn plastic and resin to goo and give you cancer.

It's Dimethylformadide. His picture shows where it says "CA Remover" which is short for cyanoacitate or superglue.

It's designed for removing superglue from your skin, and not models. It's flamable, mildly toxic, and can apperently make you intolerant of alcoholic beverages.

A link to the MSDS is at:

God bless Google.

It's advertised as a debonder to correct improperly bonded model parts, but makes no mention of materials it's safe to use on or not safe to use on. I'm letting everyone know from my misfortune that this product definitely should never be used on plastic and/or resin.

MEK and it's super awesome brother Methyl Amyl Ketone. Grab your respirators kiddies! I'd love to see if anybody has actually tried using this stuff to strip plastic models. We use it to clean oil, grease, and ground in metal shavings from the shop floor.

Why does no one spell cyanoacrylate correctly? we use this stuff on a daily basis and I rarely come across people who know how to spell or say it properly.

Plastic models, no. Only as a demonstration to show what it can do to plastics as a 'why you shouldn't use it' (and why you shouldn't use THAT particular rubber for copying resin parts).

Metals, yes (side effect). Catalyst for some silicone rtv rubber was MEK (mould making). Tried to make a mould of a painted figure. Mould worked fine - it also stripped the paint off the model.

I just pictured using it on the model, it melting away completely except for the glue bits.

You know, for most people it's just "superglue" or "CA-glue".

Most chemicals ending in "-tone" (like this debonder) will act as solvents and break down the superglue along those surface bonds... but its also used as the volatile components of plastics and paints; the chemicals that kept the paint and plastic effectively liquid. Unintentionally you'd be attempting to return them to their liquid form.

This is up there with painting miniatures with nail polish... bad ideas. Someone I knew in highschool, ended up with some new "plague marines" after his mother decided to touch up his Blood Angels. No surprise there have been people who have diluted similar chemicals to whats in this debonder stuff and used it purposefully to chaos-ify a plastic conversion.

I tried to do a test spot first, but the liquid poured out a little faster than I was anticipating.

The model... Land Raider with Forge World extra armour and Ultramarines doors.

Ouch, LR AND FW parts.

Well thanks for saving anyone else some problems. Sucks man, if your land raider is really jacked up, you could either give it to me, to turn into an Ork vehicle. Or start an Ork army.

ouch. maybe try converting some nid monstrous creature parts onto it to make it look like bioacid damage? yeah, the uncure stuff (i used to use that same brand) has the consistency of water and can definitely surprise you if you didn't know that prior to tipping over the container.

Maybe make shallow craters and make them look like meltashots or just a wrecks and if you can salvage the fw parts!

I'm thinking I'll be able to save it and have it look relatively decent. I'm going to shave off the detail that was ruined and see what can be done.

At this point no. I can only show you how I managed to salvage it. I think it's going to be OK.

Clicky

The skull & cross bones were reduced to an almost unrecognizable blob, but i shaved it off placed a FW bit (terminator cross) in its place which I think looks better regardless. All of the white areas are what was affected. I managed to reshape most of flat surfaces. Once primed I think it should be relatively unnoticeable.
