Thanks chaps!

@Flying Pooo: Cheers bro - using foundation yellow and having a little patience makes painting yellow very easy.

@IM: Hey dude, glad to see you back! You're pretty spot on about the bitz; the iron halo got clipped of something chaotic though, maybe a banner-top? Thanks for the input on the terminators - I will do that! They're staying bone colour.
I'm adding little touches of personaly livery to each of them - they'll all have little pennants on the armour, and the Sgt no longer has his banner-pole. I'll re-use that elsewhere and he's going to be fitted with an old English-style standard.

The problem with Marine banners is they're very Greek styled, I'm assuming this is mainly due to the Ultramarines. Mid-European banners where pretty much giant square flags, attached along the side edge to the pole, not the top. My Libby will retain his old-school banner, and my way of quantifying that is that he's either off-world and uses standard imperial banner styles, or that he's Italian. The Romans used banners like that too in ye olden times. So there you are.

Ok small update, but no images unfortunately. I started rolling out the bone colour on my terminators and have started making the pennants.

I just won these guys on eBay, which should add some character to sergeants and such:

I recently ran out of Devlan Mud, which is very upsetting. I've been using that instead od Sepia as it gives a rougher, grittier look, opposed to my Howling Banshees bone armour which used Sepia for a warmer tone. I just bought some Vallejo washes to replace my GW ones, so hopefully painting can resume this week (after they arrive).

So I have over 1900 page views, which currently rates my blog as one of the most popular painting threads in the P&M forum. Knowing full well that my fervent, lurking followers are clearly chomping at the bit for some updates - Here's some more pics.

You really should be more appreciative Dakka, this is the most often I've updated anything so far in my painting career!

Well, first up, my metal lion capes turned up, and they're seriously sick. I have absolutely no idea where they originally came from - perhaps old WHFB Empire? I dunno. Anyway, they rock hard. Also my Vallejo washes turned up, haven't used them yet but I will be giving you my opinion shortly.

Here's a shot of the cape on my assault terminator sergeant. Notice the adapted, European-style standard pole.

And here's two painted terminators. I added little pennants to the shoulder Besagews (yeah totally just looked that up) to knighty them up some. No basing yet. Basing comes last.

Well, enjoy the pics ladies and gents.

Thanks very much chaps. I need to update - I've completely finished the terminators and am starting in the next phase now.

@Maximus - I thought I was being really original when I thought this idea up last year. Turns out even the name has been taken by another homebrew chapter. Still, I shan't grumble, I'm loving my army now.

Stay tuned for updates.

You gotta let me know about those washes. I've been eyeballing them for purchase myself.
