Sorry for the delay in response guys, I have been super busy with work and hobbies that I have neglected my post. I will have some updated pics up tomorrow night of my Battleship and Flyer tokens. I will probably do a step by step update when I paint the Sky Fortress so you all can see how the process works.

Miss Dee: That sounds like a lot of work!!! As for transfers, I don't think they do, I freehanded all the graphics on mine. It would be awesome if they could come out with some transfers.

c0un7_z3r0: I have only seen demos and battle reports of the game. We just finished a 6' x 4' water effects table with some really awesome terrain, so we are going to try to playtest it sometime this coming weekend, but we'll see how it goes. From what I've seen, the game looks really fun.

sonofruss: That Zepplin is so awesome!! My friend Kyle is playing the Prussians, he is just waiting on his Zeppelin to come in. One of our warehouse guys plans on starting Antarctica as well.

HF Izanagi: I appreciate applause. I had to use Google translate for the characters, I was worried about how they would come out, fortunately it ended well. I can't wait for you to see the characters on my battleship, I REALLY like how they came out.

Im waiting for my Flying carrier to arrive as well as the base coat. looks like I'll have to ask spartan whats taking so long for the shop to get my carrier.

What paint:water ratio do you use with your airbrush? and how did you fix the bombers?

Any chance of some shots and explanations about how you did the water effect table. i'd like to know more about an effective way to do that.

Miss Dee: I used my GW spray gun (WASTE OF MONEY!!) container to mix the paint, I think it is like a 60:40 - Paint:Water ratio.

Llamahead: It was painted in various hues of blue to simulate different water depths, then a resin epoxy was applied with a paint roller. I will get some pictures up of it towards the end of the month.

I finished up my box set yesterday and I really like the way all the models came out. Here is the Battleship:















I will get some pictures up of the Tiny Flyer Tokens and a group picture of all of them on Wednesday night. I will be doing a step by step update on the Sky Fortress so anybody wishing to do a similar scheme will have a guide to refer to.

That battleship looks great, I haven't seen this level of detail done on Dystopian Wars ships yet.

Aha ha ha ha ha... I agree with Khaine! Sweet lord, these models are almost hyper-detailed... and I envy your control of the brush/micropen to paint on the kanji... that some slick work!

Thanks for the compliments!!! I really like painting these, and I will be sure to do a step by step next. The Kanji was done with my fine detail brush. Hopefully I can start on the airship this weekend. I am painting The Fortress of Redemption for a friend of mine so that is going to be my main focus, but I will try to get some progress done on the airship.

Miss Dee: I used Superglue to fix the bombers. I just did it upside down so the glue didn't run down the stand. Just be sure to keep it straight!! I didn't glue the bases to the stands though, I left them unglued so they could be removed for transportation.

I have been thinking of going GW on the bases and pin the bombers, need to find a case to use for them.

Battlefoam will be making foam trays for Dystopian Wars soon!!!

Got my fleet carrier yesterday Im gonna name it "Hellecarrier."

Prussian are the most tempting at the moment but I really like a lot of the FSA stuff too.

As for the comments, the Prussians are definitely the most popular .... Their Zeppelin Carrier is HUGE!!! It's a beautiful model!! Thank you all for using this thread to gain interest in the game. I will try to post some Bat Reps when we start playing regularly, but in the meantime feel free to add your own Dystopian Wars Pictures as well. I will update the name of this thread and turn it into a share thread so all will know it is open for conversation.

Here’s a quick picture of a 4 way battle we had last weekend. Good times, two Prussian against two Britannia armies……
90% of my Prussian’s are painted and one of the guys has the most amazing Britannian armies…
The other two guys just bought theirs armies but couldn’t wait to have their first battle.

That looks like a fun game. A friend of mind just started mentioning it becuase he heard a pod cast and we were discussing whether or not we wanted to drop any money into it. Your minis look awesome and the gameplay photo makes the game look interesting. I stopped by Spartan Games website and I really like the look of the Prussian Empire.

Thanks for posting input guys !!! Love the battle pic. We are going to playtest it Monday, the rules and cards sound pretty fun. The Prussians are definatley the most popular, and I enjoyed painting these Models. My friend wants me to paint his FSA fleet, so I should be posting those pics as well. I will have the Sky Fortress up soon, I am painting "The Fortress of Redemption" for a friend of mine and I have to finish it before I work on my own stuff. If you like the models/game keep posting and spreading the word.

The Bombers and Flying aircraft carriers will only fit if you have detachable flight stands (magnets are highly suggested). The frigates will have spacers so you can fit two per slot.

Those are some sweet looking boats, can I ask how you did the white? I'm looking for something similar on my EotBS battleship (same basic colour scheme as yours, mine will be a little different on the application though!)

Ok. I now have to say I'm extremely impressed with the level of detail you have on your warships, BT. I stopped at my FLGS... one that was less than 5 minutes away from my apartment by car... and I have NEVER been there in the 2+ years I've been living in that area...

The place carried craploads of different miniature ranges, one of them being Dystopian Wars... and I got to see how big those ships really were. THEN, I got to thinking about the tiny kanji and katatana you've been writing on your ships...

Simply amazing, man! Keep 'em coming!
