I would love to have the time and money to do a special forces style, all Elysian drop troop army that was actually built for good games! crazy i know!

Oh, if only I had infinite funds and free time... I'd like to paint and play just about everything, for variety's sake, but the realist in me says "paint up a playable 1000pts. of each of your armies (you already have the models, even if you don't have an ideal list), start gaming with them, paint some more, acquire a disposable income, then you can debate whether to expand your existing forces or start a new project."

I'm not that interested in playing them, at least not significantly more so than any other force, but for the P&M side of things, I'd love to be able to start 2 separate IG armies. On the serious side, I've always thought DKoK were sexy as all hell and almost require the exploration of snazzy weathering effects, which I'd like to delve further into. On the sillier side, I'd have the other IG - lacking the technology and superhuman constitutions necessary to harbor RAEG comparable to that of the Angry Marines, you have... the Irritable Guard: Exactly as Angry as Humanly Possible. Someone on Dakka came up with the concept and asked for input. I suggested that name and tagline and ever since, I've always wanted to make them my own.

And that's all just for 40K. I'd like to try Necromunda, WFB, KoW, WM, etc. etc. etc.

All this rambling (as truncated as it is, compared to what I could rant about) doesn't even touch on terrain. I've had so many half-assed plans for individual pieces and boards, I could take 3 dozen per hour if you lined them all up. My dream board is so modular and expandable, you'd need an entire damn room to store the tiles for it.

Enough. Find me, mention wargaming, then buy me enough booze that my social filters drop and I won't let you get a word in, edgewise. Then you'll hear every single one of my plans, if we can stay awake long enough, considering how much I"ll be drinking and you'll be listening.

-Chaos Khrone Army (Delayed due to Cost)
-Chaos Daemons Tzeentch Army (Delayed due to Cost)

Expensive miniatures are expensive, especially for a student, so none of these armies will happen in the near future.

Sigh. I know what you mean. Even with an allowance, it still doesn't count for much if I can't even find time to assemble and paint the figures. Makes me a sad panda.
As for my unrealized projects:
-Homebrew SM chapter "The Killer Angels" (may be substituted for the next choice)
-Pre-Heresy WE (now a loyalist force!)
-Death Guard (or Thousand Sons) Army
-Imperial Guard army

I had this idea that I would start with Necrons since they don't have alot of difficult rules to follow around, then marines, then maybe chaos (very BIG maybe), then finally IG.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

I have several unopened boxes of Ogres and Necrons too. Oh, and a Shadowsword. A lot of it was just stuff I bought with tournament winnings or received as gifts.

Necrons.

Also, I have the component pieces for a giant, one-off Ork superheavy that I've been planning. Sadly, school and tiny apartments (bar, or tanks, bar, or tanks?) get in the way.
