I always wanted to put together an all-Mk VI (beakie) Crimson Fist army based on the cover of Rogue Trader but never got around to it. I also wanted to do a Slaanesh/Tzeentch Daemon army (started as an old Noise Marine concept) but by the time I was actually on the cusp of getting it started they got rid of the awesome second edition Daemonettes and went to the (IMO) awful plastics, shattering my dreams. What say you Dakka? Any projects you've thought of working on for a long time but never seem to get around to? Fantasy or 40k, doesn't matter.

Back when I had a 3rd edition 'nid army I wanted to convert the pot-bellied Imperial preacher into a deranged mystic running along with them named Moe Zess who counted as a synapse gaunt. Had the model but it never happened.

Joined the Military for Authentic Experience
|
I went through several iterations of how I would build a squat army at various times.
Also wanted a huge Ork fleet to go with my 40K orks.
And an All Cavalry Orc army.
Hmmmm anything else. Well, currently, it doesn't look like my legion army concept is going to take off, simply because I've decided I'd rather work with plastic.

I had the idea for a great Squat counts-as army.
Standard Squats as scout Marines, and Squat bikers as scout Marine bikers. Termites as drop pods, Hearthguard/Squats in exo-armor as Sternguard, and thudd guns for thunderfire cannons.

Have you seen Craig Gallant's army pics on here? He did almost this exact build.

I have been kicking around the idea of a custom WHFB Circus army for years. With core regiments of clowns, Volkswagen chariots pulled by small dogs, Special units of strongmen, acrobats, and Pie throwers (catapults), I think it would be fun to build and play. I actually have some of the figures needed to make this a reality, just need to get motivated to get it started.
Yes, its out there, I know, but........

Arbites (enforcer) army... still a posibility.
Fantasy-Dwarves, Bretonnians, Empire
Night goblin army with Smurf Scheme.
and finally, becoming a professional model painter.

never get round to finishing my full beathwing company i.e all 106 terminators i have the models now but always get bored and move on after each 5 man squad i have painted 56 now on custom spacehulk style bases with 50 left (have got up to 74 painted once but sold a 1500 pt (27 model)army to fund other projects,
my other passion is eventually working towards a full CHAPTER of crimson fists i have the full first company the third company in drop pods (70% complete) the full 6 company in rhinos (all models but not started painting but just got my new air brush so that should help) the full 8th company on bikes and speeders and the full tenth company got all the models for the 10th and half for the eith one day it will be complete ANY DONATIONS GREATFULLY RECIEVED LOL

Pretty much anything I've ever started !! Always have grand concepts and plans, but usually run out of steam or another project rears it's ugly head... My biggest fail though has got to be my Constructo wooden scale model of the Mayflower, built the internal hull which took no time at all, looked at all the individual strips of planking to go over the hull and promptly put it all back in the box where it has been for the last 20 years - the damn thing cost over £100 at the time (even more if you buy now), then I bought a couple of refernce books and specialist tools. Adeptus Arbites army. Using one of the fan codexes. I had arbites, Van Saar, Junkers convict legionaires (looked like Arbites) a few vehicles, etc. all gathered, but I just couldn't get up the desire to paint up an army that would be unofficial in 40k, and not have much use in other Sci-Fi games.
Sold it all, but don't really regret it.

I've always had an idea of creating an eldar force. Lots of jet bikes etc. Never got around to it, got distracted by dark eldar after I realized just how rare they were to see on the table during fourth edition. With the new book there's little chance of me taking up the project and adding craftworlders to my collection!

I've been planning on making a small IG army to represent the remnants of my DIY Chapter's PDF from before they became a fleet based Chapter.
Basically a Super Heavy tank and a few infantry platoons. I'd like to think that I'll get around to it eventually.

It's too bad you sold all the arbites off. You can make a legal Arbite army with the Witch Hunters codex.
My plan
Troops
Arbites with shotguns Most likely in chimeras or rhinos.
elites
3 inquisitor retinues with crusaders, same stats and armament as arbites with shield and power maul
Hq
more of the Same as elites
Heavy
3 Converted tanks representing Exorcists
Alt. you could add penetint engines and archaeo flaggelants as elites and heavies to represent a penal attachment.

Ive always loved the Eldar Harlequins. New ones are really sweet, but I lack the paint skills to do them the way they need to be.
Who knows, maybe one day Ill try a squad, or buy one someone has already finished. Probably use them as necromunda Eschers.

Well, I eventually want to own at least 2000 points of each of the original Legions that stayed loyal, plus the Grey Knights. Maybe some of the Chaos Legions if I like their new book better.
I also keep flirting with the idea of doing an all Elysian IG army, but I can do two of my SM armies for what it would cost.
