That's actually impossible, since a multilaser is only strength 6. Unless he's glancing you 4 times first turn and manages to get an immobilized/weapon destroyed result each time, anyway.

Got 2 more...

Mephy charges into combat against a unit of DA... kills some... runs down the rest. Theres a large Mephy shaped hole in the centre of my lines as my opponent smiles broadly. My turn rolls around... I guide some guardians, doom Mephy, and hey presto! One dead librarian/daemon/thing in the world.

A friend of mine who really hates Wraithlords decided to Deffrolla one, thinking that he could quite easily take one down. To his surprise i DoG, Pen the battlewagon and cause it to explode. The Deffrolla hits only managing to cause a single wound. Suffice to say that unit of burnas were not looking to pleased...

Calgar can choose to pass or fail Morale checks not Leadership Tests. Pinning tests aren't Morale checks, so he cowers in a hole.

The fact that Morale Checks =/= Pinning tests were also a defining feature of Stubborn in previous editions, where it functioned similarly to Fearless, but you could still get pinned.

Also, you just gave me an idea of how to slow down my opponent >;3

The last situation I can remember involved a Khorne Berserker Champion (back in 3.5) and a Tau Combat Patrol (you can see where this is heading)

It was a small mini-event and we were each allowed 200 points worth of models to fight combat patroll style. Playing Khorne, I only had enough points for 8 Berserkers, with a free champ (3.5 Book of Khorne rules). The Tau player brought about 10 or so FWs and a Battle suit to the battle, and gloated on how he was going to shoot the crap out of my berserkers. He deployed inside terrain, waaaay back at the rear of his deployment zone, determined to make me run the gauntlet. And so I did. His Battlesuit jumped out of cover and repeatedly gunned down my Zerkers with his plasma rifle, while the Fire Warriors were relentless in their pulse rifle barrage. All looked bleak.

As the final normal zerker fell, I was ready to give up and he was sure victory was his. I ran up the full 6 inches, but was just out of reach of his fire warriors. I was sure this was the end. His fire warriors, sure they would kill the Champion, stood their ground and open fired. The zerker just stared at their xeno eyes as the pulse rounds came at him. Miraculously, they all bounced off. His Fire warriors managed to all wound him at least once, but he made all of his armor saves. Slightly unnerved, he made his battlesuit jump into the fray and fired the plasma rifle. He missed.

Now it was my turn, and it was time for some payback. The Berserker Champ charged into the tau, tearing up half the squad in one glorious vengance-fueled rage. The look on the Tau Player's face was priceless. The remaining fire Warriors tried to fight back, but the attacks merely bounced off his armor. The combat continued into the next round, so the Battlesuit was unable to shoot at the Zerker.

Deciding to protect his assets, the Battlesuit fled, leaving his bond-brothers to die at the hands of the frenzied butcher. Come my turn, the Zerker not only survives the last assault round, but actually catches up to the Battle suit (in part because the guy panicked and forgot to use the jet infantry movement in the assault phase) and starts to mercilessly tear it apart for another two rounds. The battlesuit, barely clinging onto life, swiped at the zerker, clobbering him in the head and finally putting him down. As the axe drop out of his hand, The tau player claims victory, but is so shocked at what damage my lone champion was able to do, later converts to chaos (playing undivided with elements of Khorne). Later, however, I found out I actually miscalculated my point cost. Each Zerker was actually only worth 20 points, not 25 as I had thought (the mark of khorne had two prices, one for ICs and one for normal models. The former was 5 points more than the latter). This meant I had another 40 points to spend on wargear, where I could have given the Zerker champ an Axe of Khorne, which would have won me the battle. The Zerker has now long since retired, having seen many more battles (but never actually winning) and is largely in pieces.

This was actually at a point in the game where my smile had long been wiped off, but this made me raise my palm and promptly attach it to my face.

A unit of boyz gets destroyed by IG vet flamers, leaving a warboss with one wound left. Next turn he charges, weathering a number of missed shots and cybork saves. He kills 4, they fail leadership but break away from combat. They regroup easily next turn, just in time to flamer my warboss

Saturday me and 2 of my friends had a mini round robin style tournament. I ended the day 0-2 with my space wolves but had a great moment i'll share here:

Our friend who plays Dark Eldar is the type of person who expresses schadenfreude on a regular basis, so any chance to remove his smug expression is priceless. His most recent favorite unit is the Beastmaster Squad, with 6 razorwings, a clawed fiend, and 5 khymaera. Well, during our game he assaulted said beastmaster unit into a squad of my grey hunters, with a wolf standard activated. When the dust settled, I had caused 15 unsaved wounds on him, he 4 on mine (rending wounds only, all armor saves made thanks to the standard), and he cursed and threw his dice as he watched his beastmaster & crew run right back off of the table from where they started. It was epic.

In a later game he played Chaos SM, and a similar thing happened when he multicharged a squad of possessed, summoned lesser daemons, and a daemon prince of tzeench. He spread his forces out and couldn't force enough saves, lost combat by a ton and again fled from the table.

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

I think the one that wiped my smile off the most was in a 2 vs 2 match. My bro has a 10 man dev squad, 2 PCs and 2 LCs. I have a trusty Ironclad in reserve ready to mash this unit to a fine paste. Drop-pod lands, scatters very close to the table edge. He turns around with both lascannons and freems my dread in the face and wrecks it. Poor Xavier

That reminds me of a hilarious incident. Me and a friend teamed up on a 2v2 against a Tau and Marine Player. Halfway through the battle, someone pointed out that my friend's Grey Knights had to use their powers on a Daemon. Problem is, "I" was the only Daemon Player. Cue his army going ballistic and destroying half of mine while our opponents watched with a huge smirk on their faces. My face frowned so much it made a 2 two-inch holes in the ground.

Here's one more.

My eldar and a friends DE Vs BA + IG.

BA/IG take first turn and score two KP.
E/DE more or less all turboboost, i manage to score a KP with some minimal shooting, telling my friend, "hey, i got us a KP"

to which our opponents reply... "Oh wow, one more and your drawing!"

In our next i tank shock a path through the IG lines, letting DE raiders through to disgorge a sould-trap archon, heamoncullii and grotesques and multicharge their armies heart.

That archon managed to take out a sang priest, libby, chaplain, some DC and an assault squad while his cronies chewed through blob squads and my army went on to secure the flanks by taking out all the armour and HWT's loitering about.

By turn 3 we were up 19-4 KP. Smile wiped.

One of my favorite moments would have to be in a 1000 point game against my friends Space Marines. He had just gotten some Vanguard Veterans, and was all excited about how they can Heroic Intervention.

Anyways, the game started, and it went back and forth, until his vanguard vets (all with power weapons) arrive by heroic intervention turn 3. He was all excited, since, well, Tau can't kill anything in CC. I really wasn't looking forward to the inevitable massacre!

I will never forget what happened next. My friend assaulted my last XV8 squad with his vanguard vets, and is able to kill of two battlesuits. I pass leadersip test and stay in CC with my last XV8. That Battlesuit went on to wipe out the entire squad of vanguard vets in close combat, never suffering a wound. He was able to kill 2-3 and then the rest died by no retreat!

A moment that will be forever remembered in the annals of the Tau Empire.

I used Deathing Assault to put 3 squads of Termies behind enemy lines. 1 mishaps sadly, but the other 2 land. I shoot an IG Squad into running off the board, but since I couldn't assault I had to endure a turn of Imperial Guard barrage. 5 LRs and several Basalisks unload into my squads. 1 squad loses 3 men, leaving a Termie with a TH/SS and another with a Chainfist. My next turn I assault his tank squadron with the 2-man squad and destroy his entire squadron. My other squad goes on to kill 2 opposing Termies with Stormbolter fire. My opponents were unhappy.

It was an 1000pt game, me playing IG and my opponent playing CSM. The first turns were a massacre, and by the beginning of turn 4 all I had remaining was a single LRBT with no cannon and a lascannon front turret. All he had left was a single Chaos Marine with a melta. (You can see where this is going...)

We were tied kill-point wise.

I had a High-Strength weapon with a huge range that would destroy him utterly. I was quite a long way away and I was leading the turn. Having the advantage, I decide to just shoot. BS 3 flubs it. He moves and runs closer. Turn 5, I move and shoot. Flubs it. He keeps going, and runs again. He's close now.

The game keeps going, I desperately make an effort to kill the lone bastard with another blast from my lascannon. Doesn't touch him. By this time I have backed myself into a corner. He scoots in, barely gets within 6" and blows me up for the win.

Curses.

CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT!

One time I took out Abaddon with an Assault Marine Sergeant (equipped witha Power Fist). My opponent really was unlucky with rolling ones.

Another time a guy decided he'd "wipe the floor with my Blood Angels", really trash-talking my army and myself. Using his Thousand Suns, he shot at my devastators, and not a single unsaved wound was caused. He, however, ignored my 5 Death Company ( and Chaplain) with jump packs but no special weapons which had deep striked behind him the turn before. My DC charged, and killed them all in a single round of combat before the 1kSons could even strike back. A good day that was.

I've seen a guy stall in CC with his Tau Fire Warriors against a squad of Possessed CSM for 3 turns. The Tau died, but they stil lasted 3 turns of CC!

My opponent and I have gotten the game down to a 3-man assault terminator squad and a guard squad with 7 guys left. He will kill my last squad next turn, and knows it. In a last-ditch effort, I fire everything at the squad, and all but the sergeant's laspistol bounce off. One failed save and failed leadership check later, the opponent's squad has run off the board.
