It doesn't look green to me and I am colour blind.

There are different varieties of colour blindness, of course. I am ordinary red-green.

What number do you see in the picture?

Looks like 47 to me.

Hmm..I thought it was 44 as well.

Numbers aside,am I to understand that the OP did not mix the two parts of the epoxy and only used the yellow (yes..it's yellow) strip?

I'd advise following Ifalnas suggestion and attempt removing the yellow component by using the blue...and in the future,if the OP is using a product they are unfamiliar with, which I can only assume they were,I'd suggest reading the instructions as to the proper use of the product.

The greenstuff I bought was shrink wrapped from top to bottom. The stuff sticks to whatever it touches, so I assume GW took the same precautions.

Again, GW's isnt shrink wrapped.
Ive just had another 5 packs turn up this week.

(Would buy from GF9 since its cheaper, but takes longer)

My apologies. However I was just offering a suggestion as you seemed to be questioning the guy's intelligence.

In anycase, That yellow does look dangerously close to green. More of a Yellow green though. I buy Greenstuff from an not-so-well known supplier, (not GF9) but they give a very big discount compared to GW (13 bucks for 2 tubesworth, cheapest I've ever seen that's not the kind you get at walmart, which is that Mighty Putty stuff).

EDIT: Am I the only one who saw 49 on the first try? (now that everyone says 44, I cant unsee anymore).

Ifalna's idea seems like the way to go, but remove as much of the yellow/green as possible first for re-use later.

I have both GW and GF9 packaged Green Stuff here and I'd have to say the non-blue part is best described as a shade of green, certainly NOT the vivid yellow I've seen in the past...

I thought it was 49 but couldn't tell for certain (44 is not far off regardless). For the other examples in the wiki article, I could just barely make the numbers out as well.

Perhaps the formula has changed over the years?

I bet it's just changes/variations in the dyes. Aren't pure yellow pigments supposed to be more expensive than some other colours?

I won't state the obvious as everyone one else has. One bit of advice when you get your next green stuff, before mixing it trim down the centre about 2mm off either side as where the two parts are touching it has started to cure. You'll find little lumps of cured green stuff ruining your sculpting. Also if you buy green stuff in bulk freeze it & snap off what you need, freezing stops the centre curing as well

You honestly thought that the blue strip- something equal in quantity and emphasis with the yellow strip- was a useless piece of plastic that they just left in the container for no apparent reason?

Wow...next time I reccomend reading the instructions before you make silly assumptions. Especially when you've never worked with the material before.

Not so much "Mocking and Hate" as " Did he really not realize that the blue strip and the yellow strip mix to make GS?"..
Still, now you know and can now avoid the same mistake in the future...happy sculpting.

For the record, GW's GS is not made by them.

It is made by another company (PSinc) and sold by them as "blue-yellow epoxy putty".

GW just rebadge it and increase the price.

That number up there is hard. I can see it, but BARELY. It's very obscured. I can see the other two numbers on the wikipedia article very clearly. Are there "spectrums" of colorblindness, or is it an on/off thing?

Since the OP seems to have no facts about greenstuff in general I thought i'd add a few things that may help you when you get down to business.
1: the epoxy is a chemical cure. it dosent need air to 'dry' and sets slower if you spread it out very thin or you use just a tiny amount.
2: the final cured material will still be slightly rubbery. don't expect it to be rock-solid.
3: it is amazingly sticky when you first mix it up and most people suggest you let it sit out 15-30 minutes before trying to use it. I think you can portion it off and stick it to the model early on but you want to wait before you try to shape it for sure.
4: heat makes it cure faster and cold can slow the curing process significantly. Ive heard of people saving mixed green stuff for hours or days in the freezer. I've also heard a few folks who insist on keeping unmixed blue and yellow in the freezer but I like to think one would use it up before it goes bad, it lasts a few good years at least.
conversely I know some sculptors make a makeshift easy bake oven with a heat lamp to make it cure faster -thats probably best reserved for pros only.

Check your monitor colour settings. . . sometimes RGB settings get a green tinge into yellow. . .
Although we are all seeing the same picture, depending on our monitor we see subtle differences.

As per the number thingy . you guys are taking the micky ain't ya? There are no numbers at all!
