actually he is, not made up READ YOUR FLUFF BETTER.... now back on topic

Source on this, because last I looked Cypher was "slowly making his way towards Terra", with no mention of his current position.

Yeah, I see how that story ends - one warp explosion and 2 major Hive-fleets destroyed, and I imagine the moment that ship exploded 100 more all across the galaxy where made.
And there is no prof on the "great fleet" in the Void, ASAWK it may be only just a rumor or made up. I'ts like saying : "there is in fact Space Marines Legion operating across the galaxy without everyone knowing it".
I personally think that this is the last we see of the Tyranid race. They came as a whole in 3 major fleets. 2 are destroyed and last one is still struggling to survive - but not for long.

Wat

You're wrong. There's probably a couple thousand dudes roaming about the place. Not millions. I'm sure abaddon could get onto terra if he really wanted to with another black crusade or something. Terra isn't guarded NEARLY as heavily as mars, which is apparently the most secure place in the galaxy.

Anyway, like a rotting corpse, duh.

See this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUkyAt6CJgU
and read this: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Terra
this is the dooe that has to be breached: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Eternity_Gate
and beyond the gate there is around 10.000 Custodes and several Imperial Titans.
Terra has a population of around 32 - 64.000.000.000.000 citizens. + Mars is nearby + Titan (Ordo Malleus).
And Terra is the most secure planet in the Imperium, ask anyone.

No they didnt really wipe out all of the Ultramarines but it was almost done. Also, you maybe right about it being a rumor of the "main fleet" hence why I said fingers crossed.

The theory of this main invasion force is the behaviour of these fleets that we have encountered. Tendrils and smaller forces lingering before the main fleet to seek out planets with a high amount of biomass. Also, a single planet contain untold tons of bio mass, truly massive amounts. The amount of biomass on a single planet could create many more tyranid than are actualy being created. So where is the rest going? This is warhammer though and there is no way to know what the truth is, this is my favored theory so I will defend it.

Also, im not so sure that Leviathan is struggling, space marines that are defending its various attacks have had to fall back on multiple occasions. Not to mention the ork victories they attain add ork genome to theirs. Fringe worlds on the edge of their conflicts report massive Tyranid already. (Even more so than normal.)

I see Tyranids acting as cockroaches; you'll can kill tons of them, but they'll keep coming back. Basically they'll become prevalent as the orks are, but never really being able to win themselves.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

It is hinted in the fluff that the three main hive fleets encountered by the IoM so far are only scout parties for a much, much much bigger hive fleet. But this is just boasting about the Tyranids' strength since GW will NEVER make this hive fleet arrive in our galaxy. It is more likely that they will keep it as an imaginary threat.

Where did you get these numbers cause i'm not sure a planet could support that many people?? Also if you am correct
they would need MASSIVE amounts of food shipped in constantly considering that terra is now barren and any delay would
kill countless thousand of people (possibly millions)

I personally think the emperor would taste like crunchy dust.

Another question, would they eat the emperor, or gain access to him and the astronomicon and release the doom of malan'tai?

Eye of Terra.

Ok, first I have to get the image of Saddams gold-plated toilet out of my head then having to imagine the Emperor on his 'Golden Throne' protected by a 'void' shield and his Custodians, the Emperors janitors. Toilet humor runs rampant in the 40k universe.

Even so...

The Ultramarines have thwarted the 'nids on at least three occassions. Getting better at it each time. I think they'd have a really hard time getting through to Terra and they'd have to grind all the way there. The Necrons landed on Mars because they kind of just popped into the system, didn't they? Besides, they still got their metallic butts handed to them.

As far as that goes, I think the mechanicus are Necron lovers anyway. Metal bastages...

Well as far as I'm aware, the doom of malan'tai was just a little rat who brought down a sinking ship, and as with any rodent went down with it. Though they may reincarnae him to feed on all he tasty psykers on terra

Terra has probably more. And if you look the movie or read the Lexicanum you would leard that the entire surface of the planet is covered in massive Hive Cities. And the Emperor's palace is not the highest building on Terra - and it's sitting on top of Himalayas. Also, there is no dry land or oceans on Earth - only massive hive cities.
