OK, here's a question for the community, regarding my Lord's paint scheme. When I started putting this army together, I had some specific ideas for color schemes. Immortals would be dull khaki green with iridescent metallic highlights. Warriors would be shades of metallic green. Wraiths would be metallic cobalt blue. The reasoning for these colors is to show that Immortals are the oldest, first-run models (and so have a "weathered-in" look); Warriors are the shiny, cheap, mass-production models; and Wraiths are advanced models. When it came time to paint my Lord, I went with cobalt blue (as he’s an advanced model) but I wanted to set him apart, so I gave him a golden rib-cage. However, I don’t think that combination is working.

So, question is, what would you change? I’d like to keep my Lords as cobalt blue, but I’m thinking of changing the rib-cage back to the standard metallic purple, and change the robes appropriately so they don’t clash with the purple. What do you think? Or, would you come up with a completely different color scheme?

Derby, UK.

How about a silver to go with the Blue? Maybe Boltgun or Chainmail with a blue wash to tie it in with the rest of the model?

The pics look great. Nice to see a Necron army that isn't a big tide of metal machines (something i am guilty of doing with my own 'cron army)

Are you planning on doing a similar sort of scheme for a monolith?

Sorry for not responding sooner - I somehow missed your post.

For my monolith I have completely ripped off someone else's original idea (see: http://starshipmodeler.com/other/jw_mono.htm). The only thing different is I didn't wire mine for lighting. Other than that, my Monolith looks exactly the same.
