yup and believing that in a game where 90% of all interactions/effects are determined by random chance, that dice are not a factor is deluding yourself, vegas is full of people like that and their systems to win.

Now I have been playing this game since around 88 and played in comps, and tournaments, and won my fair share, but to feel I have to prove something to a online enviroment seems a bit full of hubris, but hey knock yourselves out.

My choice for game to play for money would be ASL (advanced squad leader ) now in that luck can be mitigated a bit, but 40k...if the dice hate you..you lose, no matter how good you are at pushing little guys around a 6X4 table.

Indeed. Sitting with people who play blackjack "by the book" is a chore.

I recall playing with a guy who kept hassling some people about how the book says that they shouldn't hit or should hit etc. The dealer then was showing a 13 (the book says don't hit if you have higher than the dealer in this case since they should bust) and she hit twice to get a 21.

The dice can screw you. I believe that Mr. OfPepper is in the market for statistically average dice so they must have some bearing on the game.

Make sure there's some neutral security there too. Don't want anybody getting stabbed here.

Actually, I think the game could use the press. A stabbing over Space Manz would be publicity gold.

Eternal Plague

I think this is a bad idea. Going through the post records between Dashofpepper and Che'Vito, there has been animosity in prior posts between them.

I don't know if this could end with a civil handshake.

hmmm I could see the nightly news report...." tonight a hobby pastime has turned tragic, as a dispute over a toy wargame called warhammer 40000, resulted in a vicious stabbing, we go now live to a local game store. So can you tell us what happend? Well apparently the two participants during a rule clarification became enraged and stabbed one another with what we have been told is a " flamer template........"

I can see sales skyrocketing

If you can afford the possibility of losing $1000 then you should both agree on a charity which gets the winnings or something of that nature.
