The Penitent Engine isn't an inquisitorial vehicle.
It isn't? I thought they were a worse kind of punishment than Arco-flagellation?

What does that have to do with the Penitent Engine not being an Inquisition vehicle?
Both Arco-Flagellants and Penitent Engines are controlled by the Ecclesiarchy.

That is what I mean, maybe the SoB codex will contain some of the ecclesiarchy-stuff that the Grey Knight codex didn't - like the penitent engine (Sorry, I thought the ecclesiarchy and the inquisition were more connected).

They're separate organizations with ostensibly similar goals.

Its going to feel really odd having an Ordo Hereticus force with no SoB forces and instead using Grey Knights...if thats true that is.
Bleh. Inquisition should have got a new Tank in the GK codex.

Oh what I would give to get the Exorcist in the new book.

I think this is likely.
The shift to having all three branches of the Inquisition in the Grey Knights codex suggests (at least to me) that they are trying to shift back to the idea of the Grey Knights being the militant arm of the Inquisition, with Sisters moving back to their Ecclesiastical roots. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Inquisitors are gone from the next Sisters codex and it's back to just Battle Sisters and Eccllesiarchy, as it was for the original 2nd edition codex..
I agree with this. I always had a hard time differentiating what non- SoB units in the Witchhunter book was truely "Inquisitor" and what was "Ecchesiarchal". For a while I thought Priests were Inquisitorial forces and the Assassins were part of the Ecclesiarchy.

Reading these forums I get the feeling that I am the only person who actually likes the current joining of Ordo Hereticus and SoB. It made sense in my mind, and created a truly unique army with some crazy options.
I'd like to see that maintained. My fear is that Codex: SoB (which is looking the more likely oprion at this moment) will become overly simplified, and lose character because of it.
So yeah, I'm planting my banner in the last stand to keep it Codex: Witchhunters.

I agree with you.
Though a lost cause methinks. Not many people seem to care that the Inquisition is being phased out or changed too radically (Grey Knights working for all branches? seriously?)

Main problem (at least as I see it) wasnt that Ordo Hereticus was joined with SoB, but rather you have three related but different factions joined into one book (Hereticus, Ecclesiarchy, and SoB). Granted it's similar to having all SMs in one book, but SMs at least all share similar organisation. Ordo Hereticus should have been joined with Ordo Xeno and Ordo Malleus into one book, with GKs and SoBs in their own separate armies.

honestly I kinda wished they combined both forces together. I just want a solid Inquisitor force similar to what you can deploy in the IA books for siege of vraks.
