Far too often according to Mrs Flashman. "You're Dakkaised aren't you?" she says if I completely phased out to what she's saying.

During the week, I'm on no less than 8 hours a day. When I get to work, it comes up with all the other programs I have to load.

On the weekend, maybe once or twice a day for 1-2 hours.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I try to check Dakka less (not at all really) on my days off, as one of my life's principles is not to waste time at home doing stuff I could be doing at work (like painting infantry, uploading and organizing to my dakka gallery, doing my taxes, working on research for school) and instead use my home time to do things I can only do at home (like painting vehicles, taking pictures of the minis, larger projects, and reading)

You'd think I could read at work, but my preferred reading method is to get comfortable and read the whole book in one or two go's over a 4 or 5 hour session without distractions. I read fairly fast and prefer not to be constantly interrupted.

Ditto.

Probably 3 times a day on average. Although sometimes I'll open a browser, go to Dakka, and then realize that I was just there and already looked at all the threads I was interested in. I'm addicted. I know it and my wife makes fun of me for it.

I usually check in at work (slow to no workload) to see what's up and I'd say maybe twice a day when I'm not working.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

I lost internet during a thunderstorm once, and there was a heart-stopping break while I scrambled to get out my phone and scream "DAKKA DAKKA" into the voice recognition software powering my web search.

It was a close call. Everything is so much more vibrant now. Alive. Now I protect myself by having Dakka up and auto-refreshing on multiple computers and phones simultaneously in different locations powered by different ISPs and powergrids, and I have a secondary computer at home with a satellite internet linkup that is powered by solar cells and a backup electric generator that stores energy via a converted hamster wheel ala prototype dog wheel that also has a secondary generation source in the attached bicycle pedals.

Hate to admit it but at work I have a lot of free time and constant PC access....so I check about every half hour, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, sun-thurs. Because of this I almost never access from home as it makes me feel like I'm at work.

Well, I'm currently training in web developement so I've got code in one monitor and the browser in the other, and anytime I trigger a build it sits for a minute or two, so I check dakka.

So yea, every 30 minutes or so, 5 days a week.
