Cool. Now we just need to figure out how much bigger the categories will get.

Small Arms... Artillery... Apocalyptic... Galactic/Naval...

I'm starting a separate topic for the most lethal words in the Galaxy.

Ork shootas (and other guns) and possibly Eldar weapons from before the fall have been around a lot longer, and likely have been used a lot more.

I don't know what the pre-pre-fall Eldar used (that is not the ones that caused the Fall directly, who used automated systems and otherwise are similar to Dark Eldar), but they did subjugate the Galaxy then.

Orks have been around for almost as long as the Eldar, and constantly fighting so it's likely the Shoota has even more kills.

For 5) most dangerous to the user, Kaptin Badrukk's "Da Rippa" takes the cake. The guy has to wear a lead-lined coat to protect himself to all the cancer being spewed out of that thing...

Yup.

Anyone insane enough to use leaking plasma canisters as ammo wins the cool sweepstakes for me

Killiest PER SHOT would probably be this Imperial Guard railway cannon someone once made:

Never knew if the guy got around to painting it...

I know we decided on guns, but have we already ruled out the humble Bow&Arrow?

Not a firearm, but then technically neither are most of the Nid guns.. I'm good with adding it :0)

It's still a ranged weapon, after all

The argument here being that for each species that discovered it, several trillion of their own were probably slain by it before learning about explosives/rocketry/plasma.

That's not an Imperial Guard cannon (although you could use it in apocalypse I guess), it's a replica of the largest real-life artillery piece ever constructed; the german 80cm- calibre railway gun "Dora". The Nazis designed it to blast through the Belgian fortresses at the onset of WW2, but it was never used for that... shots were fired at other targets, however- the bombardment of an underwater ammo dump with some 8 or so shells had spectacular results (including sinking a full size ship anchored in the harbour!). It was destroyed to prevent capture when the Allies swept through Europe, I think, along with its sister cannon on the Eastern front...

On topic, surely the undesputed Killiest gun would be the main armament of Abbadon's Flagship, the Planet Killer (link below)? That's essentially a deathstar ray with the ability to destroy a planet with a single shot!

Behind you

The most devastating weapon that is man-portable should be....the Gauss rifle carried by necron warriors. With rapid fire capacity and the ability to scale your firepower UP and Down depending on targets, you could take out a tank, or even a titan with it.

And also, technically, the heavy destroyer's gun should also be nominated. With which it actually has been stated that it is a TITAN KILLER (can go through 2 faces of a land raider without any deviation).

Fluffwise i'd agree on the H destroyer .

Gamewise it's a lascannon *shrug*
