I like this theme so far. The bright red opposed to the muted color is a bold contrast that is really interesting. I like where it's going so far. If I may offer one bit of criticism?

In the grooves between the plates, there are obvious sings of black lining (or some dark color) but there are many of them that are still grey or white. Maybe go over them to make them more uniform?

Indeed, but I don't know too much about those. The ones I use (I sound like one of their salesmen at times ) have the advantage of being dead easy to fire through my airbrush and even easier to clean out afterwards. I have learned that the GW Chaos black aerosol has a lot of blue in it, hence the nice purple colour. I also have a plan to try some of the Alclad II paint sets on my next force, and I am now probably going to skip GK in favour of getting my TK stuff done. I will be using a similar green effect on my Sphinx bodies.

I also have plans to re-do my nids just to get the colours a bit more interesting as the Red-Purple/Green effect doesn't give enough of a contrast. I have some candy red to try in the near future as well.

It seems like you may be served better by adding some interest to your bases beyond the flat white, maybe some rocks or even just a bumpier, more uneven texture. Also, the black edges look a bit odd, perhaps a coat of Astronimicon Grey or similar could bring it together. Actually a warm grey, rather than a cold one, would echo nicely with the purple/red/silver.

I agree with Ghidorah on blacklining between the panels. It looks a bit odd at the moment.

Otherwise, looks solid. I do like the stripes too.

The cockpits are relatively easy, though scaley green is difficult to get hold of.

Base is darkened orkhide shade, followed by scaley green put on in a broad sweep across the top of the glass areas. Third is a mix of scaley and scorpion green, in a smaller sweep. Last is a line of scorpion green across the top and a line of skull white along the bottom. The glass area is then gloss varnished.

The gems are done the same way, hope this helps.
