How do you get "half" geographically located in Europe? 90%+ of Turkey is Anatolia (Asia).

Yeah, fair one - 'half' is a bit strong (perhaps I should have said 'a significant part'), but it is generally considered a 'eurasian' country. The Bosphorus separates Europe and Asia, and runs through the middle of Istanbul, for example. The point is, it's not middle-eastern!

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

Well, Wikipedia says it's part of the ME.

Anyway, we're getting away from the central point, that is, the OP apparently believes anyone from the ME (or nearby) is a Muslim.

Do you normally get aroused by food commercials?

The food is supposed to make you hungry the girl is supposed to make you aroused.

thus the double whammy that convinces you to buy their product.

Ever since there was Islam in countries and places that didn't make it required by state law. There are a great deal of Muslim women that do not wear it.

Also when it comes to "modesty gear" the burqa (or is it burka in English?) is only one specific type of apparel. A modest muslim woman can wear a burqa, a niqab, hijab, or any modest outfit really.

I don't think there is a single state in the modern world which by law requires women to wear the burkha.

The Taliban used to.

...equals a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American!

I couldn't possibly come up with this myself, hah: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20048494-503544.html

Man, that looks delicious.

Pretty much this. There are some Islamic women in European countries that wear them, but the numbers of them are so minuscule it barely even matters. Plus they obviously have a choice in it, so I don't care anyway.

Doesn't Saudi Arabia still have a modesty law requiring women to wear an abaya?

Actually, now that you mention it, I think they do, its possible. There are more Muslim countries that ban that kind of attire than require it tough, interestingly.

Not in France. It's illegal.
