Nice, in theory, but I think the DK is a little to small to make a Knight out of. Moreso when you put the head in the center of the torso like that.

Love all the convertions being done with the Dreadknight kit. Great Job turning it into a knight.

That epicast knight is a lot taller than the Dreadknight.

Yup. The dreadknight is a little over 4 inches tall, a proper size knight/paladin would be 6-7 inches tall.

Call it whatever, I like this idea a lot, it works either as a mini-Knight, or as a more interesting looking DreadKnight variant, i.e. actually counting as a DreadKnight.

You could easily make up most of the difference by raising the head slightly and adding armour up over the shoulders.

Brilliant idea though. Nice work.

No and I think GW made a smart move by making a kit no one wanted for its intended purpose but purely as conversion gold. Scratch that conversion Diamond encrusted money laying gold!

What I find mystifying is that GW made the same mistake they made with the Stormraven. Why not let all marine chapters have it? They'd sell a hell of a lot more models. For both the Stormraven and the Dread Knight they should have made versions for normal marine chapters. All they have to do is publish rules in White Dwarf and done. It's decisions like this which have contributed to them losing sales for the past two years.

Or even just a paper printoff in the box.

I wouldn't bother making it bigger. The size of models seems to always get bigger between editions anyways. How about a change of pace and have the model get smaller? Sometimes less is more.

The thing you made looks great!

This thing is incredible. I particularly love the chainsword and the banner on the gun. Great work!

Very nicely done conversion. I think its one of the best DKs I've seen. Any chance you could give us a write up on how you made the close combat arm? I've been trying to make one for a defiler/knight conversion but couldn't make it look right.
