yeah from the front. too bad there's so much deep strike and rush half the board into cc/flank shot capability nowadays for those not-from-the-front armor hits.

Retroactively applied infallability is its own reward. I wish I knew this years ago.

True, but then again those Deep-strikers usually carry melta's which the Land Raider is VERY vulnerable to. I'm not saying it's a bad tank, it's a very good tank. I just wouldn't say it's the best. Particularly as it's likely to cost upwards of 500pts with its contents...

Good point, with the contents. I was thinking of just the tank itself. Kill the tank, the contents will still be in someone's face. If I ever get Marines up and going beyond Black Reach I wouldn't mind flooding HS slots with those 85-120 point sponson predators either. For the cost, they seem like they could be a nice distraction. Really I don't use any pure tank very much though. I use Eldar so when I actually play I am used to them being very expensive and hard to kill transports with just one good solid punch weapon, not really fire platforms since they are always wanting to move anyway. If I had fire prisms I might think differently.

He means well suited to a variety of situations.
I think the Leman Russ looks pretty good.
