Having never played Warmachines I wouldn't know, but one of the things that draws me to this hobby is the converting aspect. And if someone is so abhorant to converting then simply gluing standard Wych arms from your bitzbox should be enough.
However I do dislike characters in general. I should not have to pay 20+ dollars for a single model when I can pay 30 and get 10 models.

Have to sig that, its amazing.
On topic, i think that having to convert your HQ isnt a problem. the kits never have all the options. The chaos Termi lord doesnt have a daemon weapon, for example

OP is a silly billy. First off it is not an Impaler, i know this becaue an impaler ALWAYS comes with a shardnet, it is a CCW which she is perfectly entitled to carry a it gains her no bonus. Second of all why does she need to be HOLDING a splinter pistol? If you pick up your warrior sprue you will find a splinter pistol, then (this is the hard bit pay attention) You stick it on her belt HEY HO a tournament legal WYSIWYG model with an agonizer. Or you could give her a splinter pistol from your wyches and get rid of that 'WHIP' you so dislike. Sorry but you're being a baby.

If the Succubus model is anything like the Archon model, then equipping her with the other weapon options should be 100% super-duper easy to do. If the "socket" where her arm is glues in is just a flat surface, then all of the Wych (as well as Kabalite Warriors) arms will glue straight on with exactly zero modifying required. They don't have a pistol in the blister that comes with the Archon, but all you have to do is get a pistol (with the arm included) from a Wych sprue and glue it DIRECTLY onto his arm. Zero modifications required. It is a perfect fit. I really applaud GW for the ease of adding on the different weapon options to the Archon. And if the Succubus is the same way, then +1 to GW.

Honestly I think you're being a bit harsh on the OP. He is allowed to voice his dissatisfaction with the stock weapons and ease of conversion if he wants to, it doesn't make anyone here a "baby." Such insults are pretty ridiculous.

OP I just realized, you can go off and moan at gw all you want, but only when you can sculpt you own succubus with room for all options in the codex and you can find a way to mass produce them with all the options whilst keeping them at the same price as gw. Anyway gw makes models to look good, it is much easier to sell an awesome looking models instaed of a boring one and saying "it's great in the game".

So, let me get this straight. If I have a disagreement with how my Dell computer works, I have no leg to stand on because I cannot design, manufacture and distribute a Dell computer?
Is that what you are saying?
Because the poor guy can't run his own miniatures company, he can't complain about a sculpt?
I think the OP is a little OTT with his complaints, but the bandwagon against him is getting a little crazy themselves.

Actually most people do complain alot about things they dont understand. I've seen people complain how "simple" a solution is, only to later find out that to impliment it would be insanely hard (my dad's a computer engineer, he's seen this alot and have shown me them). The only difference is PC companies take their customer feedback very seriously, while GW tends to skirt between "we're listening" and "My hearing aid is broken". However the point I think he was trying to make is that it's not feasable for them to make ALL of the options. Here's a good example of what would happen if they did:
We have a metal model with one possible loadout without external pieces. People complain how we have to convert everything
They come out with a metal set with all the options, but it's prohibitively expensive due to comparative pricing, so people complain it should be plastic.
They come out with a plastic set with all the trimmings, but it produces one model for half the price of a box of DE Wyches. People Complain they should just buy wyches since you pay the same amount but get far more usable things out of it, especially if a little elbow grease can solve it.
They discontinue the Succubus altogether. People now complains there's no model at all and they have to spend 30 bucks on a box of 10 wyches when all they need is 1 model.
And it goes back to the first and continues.
Fact of the matter is there will always be something to complain about. At least they chose the way were we get a decently detailed model, so we're not entirely screwed out of the money we paid.

Wow. Um, OK. I'm going to restate something because I think some of you missed it:
necron2.0 wrote:I just received the new Succubus figure. Assuming that the blister I got was not defective, the figure is a waste of money.
The figure costs the same as six plastic Wyches. The two most common ways I've seen a Succubus fielded is either as a vanilla HQ choice ( CCW and SP) to save points, or else with a Blaster and CCW. In order to configure the metal figure one of those ways, you generally need to sacrifice a plastic Wych to get the parts. Now, if you feel this figure is "brilliant" then it may be worth it to you. However, I do not see anything in this figure that makes it aesthetically more appealing than what you get in the plastic Wych kit. So, if I wanted to create a truly brilliant Succubus (one in a truly unique dynamic pose), if I started with six Wych figures (the cost equivalent of the metal Succubus), I could easily create one awesome Succubus and have plenty of spare bits to share/sell. Ergo, the metal Succubus is not worth its cost. This has nothing to do with loving or hating GW. This is pure economics. Again, if you truly have a hard-on for the metal figure, then by all means go out and buy one. I, of course, could build you a much better one out of the plastic bits, and for a lot cheaper too.

Yeah but I'd rather shell out 18 bucks for a finely detailed model than 30 bucks for 1 moderately detailed model and 9 I'll likely never use. There's a reason why it's metal, it's because it gives those who only wants one model the option. Nothing is forcing you to buy the model. Granted the pricing is pretty skewed, but GW isnt exactly known for having deals.

Gasp! Models don't come with all their options, and what's more, would be hard to convert! This hasn't happened with a few thousand other kits!
Sorry for the sarcasm, but that's a very common problem, and that is a very nice model.
