I tried to sculpt my own head for the dwarf but failed completely, so here he is finished (with the hasslefree head).


Also started a female fantasy dwarf sculpt... I'll have another go at a head for her or hope I can pull off another flukey lower half of a head like I have for my hammerer champion (see above in this thread) to go under a helmet....

Fantastic conversions! I particularly love the two free company with the cloaks at the bottom. The dwarfish lady is great too - what sculpting material is that that you've used for her hair?

Well i'm showcasing.... erm random modelling, i'm not sure howto describe it other than "modelling" lol, any suggestions?

The hair was on another model that was cast once already hence the colour it's just pro-create that's changed tint since cast.. (wasn't happy with the previous sculpt hence the recycling).

I have a question for you, how do you get your greenstuff so smooth? I would love to add some armor to some models but I can't get that nice smooth look.

Most important tool is some lubricant, a bit of oil, or some water works wonders.
Then I highly recomend a clay shaper (small one), I got mine from Heresy miniatures, my sculpting abilities jumped up massively from the metal dentist tool I used to use after that.

Squad one and the unit attachment for squad 2 (squad 1 unit attachment needs sculpted backpacks as the shields need to hang on the backpacks).



Also I touched up and even painted the eyes of my Siege conversion

Got a head i'm fairly happy with too .

So I came across a fan made game combining the game rules of 40k, the exp and skills of necromunda and the campaign system of Mordheim called "Death squads" and it looks like a lot of fun, so I set about converting a gang or two for it.

The guys working on the project still have a lot of squads in development so I picked the Imperial Renegades list for my Squat survivors and set about converting a few models:

Here are the first two, but don't expect any more (just one more in the works) for a while its a fair amount of effort to convert these bodies to remove all the pouches from the front so i'm looking at doing a few more and then casting them up, but I can;t afford the materials until next year. I may do the aliens sooner than that though .

those are awsome squats! What did you use for the bodies? Only thing i would do is add some sort of facial hair to the second guy, not matter how small

The bodes are from the Privateer Press Hammerfall Highshield models (from Warmachine)

The model below is a prototype for a 15mm scale battlesuit ( a large one more dreadnight vs greyknight scale than tau battlesuit sized). it's made out of a Dust tactics model and the legs off an old OOP Havok figure. It's pretty much exactly what I picture for Dermiurg and although I think it is a little under detailed for 15mm I am very happy with the overall "feel" of the model. I need to cast up the legs of my remaining HAVOK figures though as they are not easy to get hold of anymore :(.


These guys are me playing around with the idea of using the old MK6 plastic dwarves as rangers. Much like the hammerers featured in my project log above, I have LOTS of MK 6 dwarves, so the MK7 dwarves make up all my core troops (60 great weapons, 55 hand weapons and 20 thunderers) while the MK6 will be making up my rangers and hammerers (and quarellers).


The creature feature Mud devils (converted squigs) finally get some paint (actually this is a different set to the ones pictured previously in the thread as I had lost those (now found but I've run out of brown undercoat!!).


A couple of conversions for my random fantasy warbands. One based on a bretonnian men at arms, the other on a chaos warrior with beastman parts.


As usual all and any feedback is welcome, any feedback at all... literally anything... :(

I believe it's from a chaos knight, I removed the horns from it and the chaos arrow from the front.

Hi, I don't believe so (may be subconsciously) I just had some bits lying around which I turned around in my hands a few times and a light bulb went off... lol

scifi is always secretly based on star wars....

An update on my 15mm project, one to show the scale of the drones with my battlesuit and the other to show another kind of infantry, the Nicassar .

Thoughts comments or suggestions welcome.

I hope to get some Kroot converted up for the army too.

I got the paintjob how I want it only only the front one of these unfortunately but I'm pretty happy with how they look .


Also swapped my southlander marksmen handguns for crossbows.

The next thing for my 15mm scale project, really happy with how the conversions came out, though I didn't notice it looked like a Seahorse until I started to apply paint... oh well lol.
