Good, being the operative word. Down payment on a house and half for a trip?

tayloeage wrote:since you i guess couldnt read the other 6 times i mentioned it on here other models that are infantry dont " blink" as you so basically put it...
Six times you mentioned the blinking LEDs, huh? By six times, you mean only once, in your reply to my first post. This explains the prices perfectly. You can't count. Either that, or you don't know what different numbers and combinations of numbers represent, only recognize them as shapes.

Do a search for ebay-related posts on Dakka. You will find a large number of them (if you go back far enough) bashing eBay sellers for ludicrous prices for less-than-stellar models. More often than not, those sellers are not Dakka members. Stupid auctions set at stupid prices get shredded. Because you're actually a poster here, that should change? Face it, man. You're prices are ridiculous. What you expect to get for sinking LEDs in models is downright insane. If the paint jobs were REALLLY good, I could see it then. But they aren't. YOU even said it yourself. You said you suck at freehand painting. You said you've replaced this army with a better painted one. That in itself insinuates that these are not fantastic paint jobs. Then you have the bases. Besides looking fugly, they almost double the size of your models. In a game where the current rules mechanic hinges primarily on LOS, you've made these model giant, ugly targets.

Apparently, you also can't/don't read (or you read only what you want) because I already told you that I have already wired models for light and sound. Let me also add: you don't need to know programming to wire LEDs. It may help in doing so, but it is most certainly not a requirement as you have stated prior.

So then. Rude? Insulting? Perhaps. But I wasn't until I saw your insulting eBay asking prices.

In the interest of trying to maintain a friendly Dakka, I will make my apologies and bow out of this thread. Best of luck with these auctions and I hope you get a nice house.

If you don't know soldering well, I have a pro tip for you:

Don't put the iron directly against the solder to melt it. It can burn the solder, destroying its conductive properties. Basically, the solder needs to be shiny after application to ensure that it will conduct correctly. If it is a dull gray, it's very strong indicator that you may have ruined it. Also, it's a good idea to invest the $5 - 7 bucks for a solder remover in case you do make a mistake like this. It's basically a turkey baster that you squeeze, put next to your hot solder, then release. It then sucks in air and the melted solder with it.

I would have liked better pictures showing more detail for the price your asking.... But I don't have anywhere near that kind of money anyhow... good luck with the extortionistic prices
