Thank you for your honesty, you are quite right. The washes has become something of a guilty pleasure for me even though I'm quite well read about techniques such as layering and feathering. I do know that I must put these techniques to use if I want to step up my game, but alas, I've avoided it as I've been afraid to feck it up,
