The addition of that head has turned an okay project into an OH MY GAWD that's so awesome project...

Right you asked for critique and sugestions:
1 the leg armour should be boxy, flat plates orks don't do curved metal...
2 the hammer/dccw a couple of space marines strung around that pole would be fine as a hammer or mace, I would add spikes and assorted gubbins though to add a bit more killy.
3. smoke stacks and power plant, it needs replacing with something far more orky and engine looking....

Awesome model at the moment don't ruin it by listening to a know nothing idiot like me.

I'm loving the head and a lot of other things about this project... but so far I'm not getting the pilot at all. It looks like he's just hanging off the torso by wires? Are you planning on building some kind of cockpit around him or something that is holding him in?

doubtfull. however if his movements are controling the thing any structure to hold him in could impeed his movement so hanging is more logical from one point of view... I personaly think the dreadknight should have been suspended in some way rather than in the baby carrier....

At first I thought you were being too meek in your conversions, but the added head really made it for me. I agree with one of the earlier comments that you should replace the human-looking Dreadknight hand with something more brutal (saw/choppa/klaw/etc), but it's fine as is. Eagerly anticipating seeing it painted!

If Gork or Mork were to take physical form....I'm pretty sure they would look like that!!!! That is awesome. The giant ork head is genius. I agree with the other posters about putting it on a bigger base. Also, I agree that now with the giant head, the hand looks a little too weedy. Replacing it with a big claw, like from a Chaos Defiler maybe, would be really cool. But it looks awesome either. Can't wait to see it painted.

Ok, here we go! Im friggin done with it! Made a concerted effort over the Christmas to finish this guy, and i think im done. The moment i finisnehd the base that when i have to step away.

Iv used an awful lot of peoples ideas and im very grateful for them, im starting to get my gak together to start painting him, so any ideas on that will be appriciated.

He ges in the Deathskull army by the way, the scavenging buggers! Specifically on Rynns world.

That banner is going to be interesting aswell!

Awesome! I'm really glad to see an update on this. Love the big choppa/banner, the claw on the right arm looks great...the only thing I see that needs work is the GS on the head. It looks very rough in some places (like above the mouth), whereas your GS-work is very clean elsewhere. Maybe this was intentional and you have something in mind. Otherwise, this looks ready for paint! Great work!

This is very awesome! I really like the big head, but it could stand to be a little more rough. And, just because I can, I'll tell you people how I loot things. 1. Tear the model apart viciously. 2. Repair haphazardly with bolts, plates, and other parts. 3.????? 4. Profit!!!!

Conduct While Gaming
While rolling a die, do not say, “Anything but a 1!” unless you wish the die to come up as 1. Any other such attempts to anger the “Dice Gods” will result in the existential equivalent of continuously flipping a coin and having it come up heads every time (for reference, see Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead). Your dice will be cursed to roll ones for everything other than morale checks, which will come up sixes.

Just a few responses, I think im just going to field him as a standard deff dread, having spent far too long modelling and only having played one game since i got back into it, have no idea whats what. Would there be rules for such a monstrosity?

Secondarily, with the green stuff helmet, im rather hoping it will work itself out in the paint job. hopefully. I had done a few things on it which look wrong (wrapping wire round the horns etc) when they came off it looked very rough and ready which i liked. If a decent amount of dry brushing emphasis the scrap nature of it then i might just work!

With regards to axe size, i dont feel its the size of your chopper that matters, its what you do with it that counts? Plus real world scale im looking at a 3ish meter chopper, im pretty happy with that!

As before any comments on painting techniques for this bad boy are much appreciated, im still thinking about that one.

Ok brief update, as im about to start detailing this puppy. But undecorated, so far, then just with an airbrush i built a few layers of blue (deathskull/crimson fist lootage) then on the flamer and banner did some orange glow.

Not 100% why the orange glow occurred, seemed a good idea at the time, works on the flamer side, possibly not on the 'nothing to do with orange glow' other side. Does balance out quite nicely.

Excuse the first photo, it give a better idea of colour but is out of focus, the other is a bit bleached, but actaully in focus.

ANy tip with regards to rust and/or skratches are appreciated.

No idea how this is going to be turning oot!
