I wouldn't mind seeing a map based campaign system that would go the length of a summer, or winter campaign, or something that would have different point based systems that woould culminate into a grand scale war over a territory, or provence. Maybe even a new continent in the
IW universe.
Large scale games are great, but unless theres sort of a point, they really don't do anything to provide a goal other then pimp my points.
I'd even say that these games would be great fun because you could get a whole shops worth of players onto the table at the same time, each fighting over a different area of the table. Or even Tables. I can easily see a six table battlefield where armies have to fight there way from each side, through different opponents territories, and make thier way to the final battle tables, maybe even 2 8X8's put together for some extra room with a small walled city in the middle. End up with some streetfighting, or trenchwars.
Start out with cryx on the beachhead campaign, while you have Khodor, and a Trollblood contingent holding the Kiser pass, while you have the Everblight fighting its way from the north while you have the uneasy alliance of the Mentite/ mercenary strikeforce putting the boots to another side of the border.
All the while having more and more Cryx making a concentrated attack around each and every coastline, while you have alliances being made and broken throughout the summer/ winter.
I'd even pay in a covercharge and at the end of each battle for a boxed set, or unit.
I think that this new large scale system has a lot of possibilities for some badassery.
Great find. Now I have a reason to pull out my stuff again.
