GL in your infantry squads is a fine thing. but, in a Command squad, no. Lascannon is a must 99% of the time to take out those pesky transports and monstorous creatures.

Yeah for 30pts I usually buy a Painboy for my Nobz, which is well worth it, 30 pts as an upgrade for a vet-guardsman is too pricey for my likes, rather take an astropath, MoF or MoO

I'll start with a 4x Plasma and plasma pistol squad in a chimera. If I don't like them I'm going to take a Las Cannon and MoO.

My army is going to have min 3x LRMBT in it so I'll have plenty of pie plate ordinance without a MoO at this point.
