Just an fyi, this elpawlo character has posted the same thread on at least ten sites, (usually word for word) most of the AZ crowd is of the opinion that he is the new mgr of the GW store, which is fine, if he would just say so. Another aplicant for the position let us know that hyping the opening on the web would be part of the job, think he went the wrong way with it.

It is pretty much known that many of the "cough" GW staff "cough" uses sites like this for their own gains.

I can understand why they do it. It gets the word out to gamers in the area increasing the potential for business.

The more business they get, the better they look to their employers which means that when promotion time comes around they'll be looked upon more favorably.

Now if they were to follow up on the discussion that they started, maybe answer some questions and ask some of their own (what armies are you guys here playing/collecting?) then it would likely get them more and better business.

The problem lies in that Elpawlo just sounds like a talking parrot across the spectrum.

So this is a bit of a necropost here, but Iwas wondering if anyone had heard anymore about this. A quick check of the GW store locator and a search of the web turned up nothing. Did the store get axed before it opened, or just pushed back?

The New Hobby Centers page is the place to check periodically for new stores. So far, nothing listed for AZ, but I know for a fact they are also opening a GW store in Orlando, FL soon and that's listed now but without an address yet.
