The orange highlights are definitive improvement on the wold. I would go for more highlights on the shifting stone as the details seem to be lost on the upper part of it.
The bases are great again, there is enough on them to avoid the football field feel you get from empty bases.

I defiantely prefer the orange to the blue, I think grey and blue are too similar thus the orange gives more contrast.

Cheers for the comments folks. Much appreciated.
After 3 days and 3 different colour schemes, I have finally settled on a choice of colours.
I decided to go back to GW paints, as I am missing most of the P3 colours I'd need to get the desired results, after attmepting 2 of my own colour schemes, with variable success, I tried something closer to the studio scheme.
I used an old pot of Dark Green Ink and a light drybrush of Necrotic Green to achieve the glow, and although its not a much as the orange, I am happy with the results.
The stone is a series of succesive drybrushes going from Adeptus Battlegrey, to Codex to Fortress Grey.
Also painted Baldur who I'm happy overall with, even tried some tartan, which could look better, but not too bad for a first attempt.
Got a few mushrooms to add to the bases (and add a base to the Wold Watcher, who's base fell off just before I took the photos, losing all the basing material in the process- bah) which I will do tomorrow or sunday.

Looking nice. are you gonna do the living warbeasts in a similar manner (grey skin/fur+green details)?

Cheers, thinking of doing my living beasts as you say, do a dark to light grey skin, with armour like Baldurs (Pig Iron, with green wash).
Not sure which living beasts willl pick up but it will include at least one Argus (cool model and nice rules for a steal of only 4 points).
Ordered 50 points of Tharn to add to the army, (once I get Lord of the Feast, it will be a tier 4 Kromac list I could field). So will paint the living beasts to go with them.

With some truely dreadful weather today, it was a perfect day for painting. With my Tharn order on its way (the Ravager Chieftain arrived today, he is huge! might try and get a pic with a size comparison once he is glued together) , I wanted to finish off the Wold I have.
Still got to decide on how to do the front arcs. I like the way Vitruvian did his, so might try something similiar, but I also like naming stuff, so I may just paint the names on, choosing long enough ones that the fit round half the base.

Cheers guys.
Today heralded the arrival of most of the 'living' part of my Circle force. Still awaiting a few additions (namely Kromac- who should arrive tomorrow). Started by building the Ravagers unit which comes in at a stonking 13 points! Looking forward to crushing foes with them on the battlefield, who needs subtle when you have a BIG axe!
Also built up my White Mane, still got the Bloodtrackers, Nuala and Bloodweavers to do but they will wait till tomorrow.
After the excitement of cracking open the boxes, I realised I didnt have much in the way of living beasts, so I have ordered the Warpack and a Pureblood (mainly 'cause the model is awesome) so I will be able to field some beasts to get the most out of kromacs spells.
Got a few pics to show the unit so far. No paint yet but will do my Wold Wyrd and the second Wold Warden before I start on these.

Got a chance to finish off the Wold today, and with the arrival of Kromac, I got him started as well.
Also managed to win myself a unit of 5 Wolf Riders off ebay, so that will be a nice addition to the Tharn side of the list.
Worked out my points total so far, and with two casters out of the 5 I have available, I came in at 112 points. Might need to refine it a bit, as I don't think I will be fielding everything at the same time. I want to add a Reeve Hunter solo, maybe a command and expand the Reeves up to full size, plus got my eye on Megalith and a Wold Guardian . But I will probally leave them until I have painted the rest of the force.
Kromac is currently on the painting desk, and I'm not sure if I mentioned it earlier but I'm going to paint him up in the colours of Slaine from The Horned God graphic novel. Will have some updates and hopefully the finished pair in the next few days.
In the meantime, here are the finished Wolds, including both Wardens whom I finally based, and a group shot.

My bases for the Retribution arrived yesterday from Kerr & King, and on first look I was mightly dissapointed. They seemed to be poorly moulded, and the details indistinct. As my first time ordering resin bases, maybe I was expecting too much. But after getting over the initial shock, I cleaned them up and sprayed them, and now they look quite cool.
I've painted two up so far, one for the Griffon and one for Kaelyssa (although I will add some more embelishments to hers before I glue her to it).
I still need to order some water effects to finish them off.
Let me know what you think of the Griffon, and anything you would add to the base to improve it.
I also got more done on Kromac, flesh is done on both, and have started on the leather armour. I had planned to paint him with yellow and black tartan/checkered robes to match Slaine from Horned God graphic novel. However after doing it on his beast form, I find the black just too overpowering, and the yellow looks out of place, so I'm going to scrap that thought and go for a light brown and some red on the other bits of cloth instead. Will have some pics at some point soon.

As a bit of relief from trying to sort out Kromacs robes (there now green and still need lots of work) I decided to paint a few of my other Warmachine models, so Holt and Aiyana are on the go. I also found Kommandant Irusk skulking with a Destroyer from when I was using them for size comparisons. So after a quick spray, I decided to try out the Khador alternative colour scheme from one of the mark 1 books, the white and red one.
I'd admit he has been painted quickly, so there are a few areas I will need to work on, mainly getting a smooth white. But as a whole I'm chuffed how he turned out. So I may order some snow covered bases (or make some after my last experiences with moulded bases) and paint up the Khador when I have time. I only have him and two jacks as the rest are down at my brothers, so I will have to wait and see what state they are in before I work out a army and a shopping list.

Nice work on the finished minis, I especially like the osl on the woldwyrd.
The resin bases can be a bit hit and miss. Some of the manufactures does have nice detail, but the bases are so busy that you cannot fit a fig on the base. The base on the Griffon looks good, you might go for another drybrushed highlight to make the wood grain stand up a bit more. The color complements well the jack.

Cheers dude, I gave it a try and it does make it look better.
I finally finished Holt today, and got Irusk based. Need to order some better snow, for the Khador, as the stuff I've got seems to have mixed with some light grass. I'm going to try a technique I was shown a while ago, using white sugar over the top of snow to create the effect of ice. Only have brown sugar in the house so a shopping trip is in order.
Holt turned out ok (did manage to tip a pot of black paint over, but thankfully it all just missed him). I made his base a bit darker than the Griffons, as I'm going to use him with my Khador as well, so I will try and make it look like wet wood, and add some small pieces of blister pack plastic to create cracked ice. Still yet to order my water effects so once they arrive I will give it a go.

After spending the majority of yesterday, sorting out some old bitz boxes and collections of figures, I stumbled upon my spare Sorscha model (I managed to get 4 in total, 2 from the old starter set, the alternative sculpt and the epic one) and the Cleric of Morrow from Iron Kingdoms.
They were together as I intended to convert the cleric into an alternative Sorscha, but I never got round to it. So about 5 years after I intended I finally made the conversion today.
After a few horurs painting, it just needs the base painted, which will have to wait till tomorrow. I may order a pistol to attach to it somewhere, but will have to see the options on PP website, and see where it could go. But thats for another day.
Enjoy, as always C&C welcome...

I'd agree she isn't the most Khador model out there. Probably would have made a better Cygnar or Menoth or possibly even Highborn Merc. But hey I'm happy enough with her as an alt Sorscha.

Back after a lengthy break from posting. Been doing quite a bit of painting just not got round to taking any photos.
Spent last week sorting out my Khador force, and over the next few days I should receive a few reinforcements through the post.
Currently painting up some Man-O-War Shocktroopers and a Kovnik.
These are what I have painted up last week. Just need to add a bit of battle damage to the 'jacks.

About the alt Sorscha though, doesn't she need a arcane turbine backpack?

Good spot on the turbine, will need to get one from the privateer parts site. Thinking a journeyman's from cygnar range might be the answer.

Got a bit of time to finish a lot of things off today, and also start and finish my Kovnik. Quite chuffed I got him done, as my Great Bears of Gallowswood and the rest of my winterguard turned up. So will get the Man-o-War Demolition team done tomorrow or thursday then its on to the Great Bears.

In terms of the Kovnik, I haven't had a game since I got him so I'm not quite sure. However I'm taking the Khador down to my brothers on saturday, so will get a chance for a few games over the next few days. Will let you know how he does.
Built my Behemoth today, and painted the rest of the Man-O-War Demolition team which I should get posted tomorrow.
Planning of painting the Great Bears and the last few Winter Guard as well. If I can get them done by tomorrow I will have a fully painted 35pts to take down.
