Nothing about what you posted either. In fact it implies that the chapter is based around the geneseed of those 8 marines.
Which implies that there is no ONE Grey Knights geneseed.

Actually, it states that there was Grey Knight Geneseed already present on Titan when the 8 members arrived to train the already present recruits. Considering Grey Knights have amplified Psychic powers and it's considered the 'Emperor's' gift, I would say it's Geneseed from the Emperor or a cocktail of some original stuff he found in The Palace at the time. Whatever it is, it's definitely original and something more than normal geneseed. It could be geneseed from the founder (although using geneseed from a traitor legion is pretty unlikely) but adapted in some way by the Emperor to create some sort of new strain, part founder, part Emperor super geneseed.

It is most likely the Emperor gave them some Genestock that he had reserved for a special use.
Direct geneseed from himself is a possability.
the existing Grey Knights certaintly have some geneseed mixing from those original members who will have eventually died and had their geneseed extracted for use.
so they are primarily the Emperor's geneseed with some slight influence from a few of the legions.

the Heretics were enacting a ritual called the Blood Tide.
the Blood Tide causes insane acts of bloodletting or the victims to explode in showers of gore.
some of the sisters were able to resist the Bloodtide.
the GKs wouldn't have been able to resist it with their existing wardings alone and so they supplemented their own protection with the blood of the sisters.
the sisters could have been willing participants, its something they would have done.

So SoB are resisting to this, while Grey Knight who are the purest of us all cannot?
Overall, they give their lives so that the ritual can be stooped. I would do the same thing in their place ( sister place ).
And let me guess: M.W?

the sisters would have eventually succumbed anyway.
the GKs would have eventually succumbed too. exploding in showers of gore that is.
the GKs combined their strength to get the job done. the new angle the GKs and Inquisition have is that they will defeat chaos at any cost.

What about being corrupted by chaos...?
The flesh turns, but the spirit remains pure. Thats the theme I was going for.
Fluff Scenerio #1. Crowe Does use the swords power, but at a terrible cost to his men.
Fluff Scenerio #2. Crowe and his men get stuck on a chaos planet in the warp, slowly their bodies start to turn, but still they fight on.
From a modeling standpoint I thought it looked cool. But I know as soon as I take it to a tourny level people would dock me points based on ..."that would never happen"

I think the wards are there to prevent the body from being corrupted easily and allow the GK to function as long as they possibly can. Iirc the wards are also anathema to daemons and damage any weaker daemons close to the GK. Also, GK's, during their training would probably have covered the many forms of corruption and learn to avoid or fight them. Thats all my opinion and speculation though. Feel free to correct me if i'm mistaken.

yes, its impossable for them to turn, but they can be killed and their flesh corrupted.
Their bodies can be posessed by force.
in the GK omnibus, the main character is posessed by a Deamon of Tzeench for a short time before he manages to cast it out.

Yeah, I can imagine the dis-honor and shame of being the first brother in a Chapter going back centuries known for their willpower, to fall to Chaos knowing you were not strong enough, dang.
Really though, I'd imagine if the GK were corrupted, they'd just shoot and kill then and there ("in battle"), so no GK has ever been corrupted. Similar to the Immortals of the Persian Empire, always at 10,000 men, thus spreading the legend of immortality, until you realize that when one dies a new one replaces him.

If Horus, the second most powerful human in all of existance could fall to Chaos, I'm not sure how a GK couldn't. But I guess preventative measures have been instilled since then.

He simply can't, GW told us this. And Horus was not that much fanatical or clear-minded as GK are...
You can also said from GK that they are "little Primarchs" since their gene seed is from the Emperor himself ( the only logical conclusion ) and + they are trained their whole life to be fully resistant to corruption. And beside look at Draigo - he is in the warp for how long and he is still pure. And he is kicking a**.

Horus had many personality flaws that were gateways into his consumption by Chaos, like ambition, arrogance, jealousy, fear, and low self-esteem.
Grey Knights have all those things removed, along with all the other human parts of their personalities when they become Grey Knights.
