I think they look like cheap rip-offs of Chapterhouse's work.

Yes. That is a joke, people. : )

They look good.

God I'm so glad that people can still have a sense of humour. Nice pads, but not for me as I don't do Salamanders. Now if they did Exorcist pads

I have a stronge sense of feeling that the "regular guy" painting for Forgeworld either doesn't have time to paint everything they want painted, or that he has left.

The last few releases have been painted pretty bad (apart from the large kits) and photographed & developed in a sub-par way comparing to older releases.

When the first pictures came up, with unpainted shoulderpads I was kinda "Wow!". The painted ones kinda turned me off. Which is nice, I can continue with my Ultramarines without feeling bad.

these shoulderpads look worse than anything i've seen out of FW.
Also, wth is up with the smudgy, pudding look of the casts?

FW did say that they were looking for a new painter / photographer IIRC.

How would you represent the head spinning in a circle?
I don't even want to try to figure out the logistics behind the adult themed "crucifix scene."

The unpainted pics looked pretty good, but the painted ones are god-awful. And with that price tag it's almost kind of insulting, lol.

Don't know what the hell is up with FW but that's a terrible paint-job and a terrible cast to showcase. I could see that hurting sales.

Hmm, too bad I just painted the decals on my Sallies. All 120 of them. Oh well, it's not like I could have bought the number I would have needed in one go anyhoo.
