Other than massing power weapon attacks, Henchmen have nothing over marines.

You must have missed the part where a Warrior with a Storm Bolter is 7 points.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

Yet he is BS3 and if you ever jump out to fire them their T3 5+ save will be 100% slaughtered in the next turn. i dont really consider using those for that exact reason, i'd rather use 3 warriors with meltas and then max out close combat ability.

20 shots = 10 hits = 5 wounds vs T4 or ~ 6 wounds vs T3. Close combat ability? None whatsoever. Thats not worth one killpoint, or two with the transport

I hate hard counters. In a game of rock, paper, scissors, I hate playing any of the factions because no matter what you choose you might as well not deploy against your hard counter. I want to use a gun. Rock, paper, and scissors could all probably still beat gun, but gun will never feel like a game is a lost cause.
