A unit of 5 paladins vs a full unit of assault marines w/ 2 meltaguns and a fist? If you take advantage of the assault marines superior movement, you can leap from los blocking terrain (or from behind a vehicle) blow the meltas in their face, likely killing 1 flat out, and then in the ensuing assault, lose your average of two guys if they have all halberds, then return hits, possibly cause a couple wounds with the bare guys, then have your fist eat up one or two paladins.
Blood angels have a superior storm raven, which can strand gk units by bursting their transports with missiles while remaining out of psyflemen dread range. Drop in a furioso to assault nearly any gk infantry unit and you will come out on top- or throw them against their vaunted dreads and laugh as their str 6 dreads cant even scratch yours' paint.
The force weapons are icing on the cake for most GK units, their real fearsomeness is from their mid range shooting prowess.
Firstly, I would love so much for you to send a dreadnought into combat with a GK squad of mine. Id Daemonhammer it no time at all, as everyone of my squads has one or two for that exact reason, and instantly the squad has made its points back!
Secondly, so how do you intend to throw them against our "vaunted psyflemen" ? Drop pod? Okay you can drop pod and sit a turn while our "vaunted psyflemen" have a field day blowing your "vaunted furioso" off the board. Oh, you want to carry one in a storm raven? Ill guess we will just blow that off the board too. Dont tell me Furioso's have heroic intervention, either.

Furioso is AV13, so even Psyflemen will struggle bringing it down as they need 5's to glance.
It's the DC Dreads you want to worry about, seeing as how they can have a theoretically unlimited number of attacks.

Shadow in the warp lol, like the poisoned weapons of DE weren't a big enough nut kick for Nids now everyone has a forceweapon. GG if nids weren't already invalid the GK meta put them in the necron camp for worst army current.

You may want to check the battle report I posted. Shadow in the warp is actually one of the best counters to a GK army.

nothing but it does do many things if it rolls anything but a 1 then your unit will either kill themselves or be initiative 1 and be sitting ducks or make then so slow that GK get reroll to hit or wound.
But GK are definatly the best 1 on 1 fighting unit, even if tyranids beat GK slightly at CC, Gk can still out gun a squad of tyranids.
