Tate Modern is a really weird place...
Went there for a photography exhibition on a college trip... the photos were... interesting.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I actually considered that. I know GW HQ is there but I think its just a big statue of a space marine. What's Warhammer World?

Warhammer World is GWHQ. Yes there's a big statue of a Marine lol, well multiple, along with others.
There's also Bugmans Bar and the Citadel Hall of miniatures, as well as a large GW and the biggest gaming hall you ever did see.
Tbh, though - it's good but probably not worth the 2hr trip from London unless you really wanted to see it.

I do but I don't think it's going to happen. My "for sure" list right now is just British Museum, Imperial War Museum, Natural History Museum, British Library and The Tower of London.
Seriously, you guys need to come up with some better names: "British Museum", "British Library"? Should be The Right, Honourable, Proper Librarium-Anthenaeum III.

Leicester Square Piccadilly Circus Trafalgar Square The National Gallery (as long as you're at Trafalgar Square anyway!) Westminster Abbey (and the famous people buried there) Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace Tower Bridge Tower Of London The British Museum And if you can catch a train from London these are good day trips because we've done it: Stonehenge (by way of Salisbury) Colchester (first city in the UK it was built by the Romans, lots of Roman artifacts and a huge section of Roman wall around the town still stands) Dover (the castle, Roman ruins, the cliffs, it's all great)

Greenwich is nice, especially on saturday when the market is on. There's also the meridian/observatory, which is very cool. It's literally the center of the world! Plus the park is beautiful, and offers spectacular views of the city.
Nice pubs in Greenwich, too.
What else...? Oh, you could visit Abbey Road? I've always fancied doing that...

We quite often drink in the park during the summer. If you're walking through the town centre, however, that might attract attention from the rozzers.

On my last jaunt to london i went on Hms Belfast , and it was rubbish , if you're above about 5 and a half feet you will spend all you time stooping , its stunk , which they do delberately to make it more "realistic" it just gave me a blinding head ache , it is massively overpriced and boiling below the first couple of decks
I would recomend the natural history museum , completely free and it has some amazing stuff , same with the victoria and albert museum , not my thing as it s a mainly clothing museum but it apparently really good. The normal touristy place like big ben and westminster abbey are good.
My favourite thing in london is tower bridge , just because ,Seeing the shard up close seems liek it could be interesting.

There are some town centres which have been made "no piss-up" zones.
In general, though, if you want to take a picnic hamper including alcoholic beverages to a public park you will have no problem.
Also, many pubs and restaurants have outside seating at the front, which obviously is in public.
