Wow, with around 10-11 posters here ready to go I'm going to have to put a cap on this soon. I think 14, not including NPCS, will be the largest number I can smoothly manage.

A new thread, complete with missio brief and opening scene. I'll let you know now that it won't be an immediate combat zone, leaving characters free to converse for a short while before conflict becomes imminent.

You are, of course, welcome to join in Chowder. However I have a real problem with this being a playable character becuase it makes a horde of assumptions about Remus. Firstly, the presence of a deamonhost makes on assume he is a radical, and brands him as such. Secondly, no one is going to converse or build a working relationship with said deamon at all. This leaves you sitting on the sideline spouting dark prophecieis and generally looking very unappealing. If possible I want our crew to mingle a fair bit.

Sorry, but in every sense a deamonhost throws this retinue out of whack.

@EF. Weapon wise I had planned to stick with just a boltgun, couple of frags and kraks (maybe just two of each) and leave it at that otherwise It would fall under "has every weapon under the sun" syndrome.

As for the armour, I do see the point, I could drop him down to Scout armour just like LLF. I just don't won't to tread on his toes again by having a similar character. Can you offer any suggestions? I could do him as you suggested as an armoured thug, as even a Marine without his carperace armour would be formidable

A bolter is always a decent piece of wargear.

Carapace armour seems fine enough.

Got a pic so I can visualise it? I never seen a pic of what a marine looks like without his Carparace armour on.

Ok thats excellent thanks, my google searches turned up nothing, mostly because you can't find an image when you don't know what your looking for, hehe.

so basically an Arnold Schwarzenegger with a few pipes and connectors visible to show where the armour interfaces and connects. Will ponder a bit on how to work it into my character and edit Ronan's profile to match up. Proberly have him dressed in flak armour but that would be purely for visual effect.

Amended my charactors profile. At the same time, have left it open so the ability to reclaim his armour is available if required in the Story.

I'd humbly suggest to EF, that when you start the thread and begin the RP, that the first post should detail all the background as you've already said you would, and then maybe copy and paste all our character posts with attached pics. That way we won't get people posting ... RP post, RP post, Charactor stats, RP post, Charactor stats, etc.

Good idea, I may also update the character's dossiers as the mission continues (taking notes of any unreliability or particular distinction in their roles). As HG suggested the character roles will all be in the first post, easy to locate if people want to remind themselves of the particulars of their character or that of another. I will be slightly rewriting the posts though, just to make it appear that it's from the stance of either Inquisitor Remus or Interrogator Avare in an evaluation.

I think its plausible, Ibram Gaunt knew his father before being taken to the Schola, and Chapias Cain HERO OF THE IMPERIUM makes a few nods towards his past. (all though he's probably lying and is vague with the details in any case.)

No, I've got Law exams in about 2 weeks. I'll have the character sheets and mission briefing ready before that, but I think it's best that I don't start this until I'm actually able to commit to this roleplay, otherwise it'll be a job half done. Besides, there's still a bit of confusion from PM's I'm receiving about characters.

EF I'm fine with the delayed start, I have some exams coming up in a bit too. Besides gives me a little time to get a pic up for the character as well; seeing as pretty much everyone has one.

Chowderhead, if you want to play a non human Character, why not a Kroot mercenary,
If the Inquisitor's Ordo Xenos: You can say that he is studing Kroot nature and combat
If he's Ordo Malus: Then he hired him because of the Kroots ressistance to taint (cite rouge trader Role playing game)
If he's Ordo Heriticus: then who better to track down witches than a gaint bipedal hunter (other than imperial assassins)
Also its not as radical as a Demon host, but more radical than a normal Inquisitor (if there is such thing)
And there is a Kroot canivore model for the Inquisitor game
