Well, it would necessatate changing Vulkan's rules too.

not that it wouldn't make sense. the Flamestorm cannon, fluff wise, is a gigantic flamer.

but a TL, Str6, AP3 flamer would be a little OTT.

Nasty Nob

'Ere an dere

He's been FAQ'd to be immune to flamestorm cannons, infernus pistols (which was redundant) and some other stuff.

EDIT: Whoops, looks like I confused Inferno Cannons with Flamestorm Cannons. The Avatar can still be wounded by FSCs. Silly if you ask me, but them's the rules.

The Avatar immunity is an annoying rule as it (supposedly) makes it immune to fire - however, fire isn't a rule, so you have to go into the fluff of the weapon... Not very practical.

They don't have TL Str6 AP3 flamers.

But they have quite a few OTT things based on their points...

Meh, my only real issue with them is the librarian's points. Marines still die like marines. Making them cost more would probably end up creating an unplayable codex.

Oh and I'm totally in the Avatar are immune to flamestorm crowd! (even though i know it's not correct rules wise)

I think the Avatar should be immune to the flamestorm, after all it is some giant uber flamer...

You could say that making them would be unplayable, but you know that when a squad of GK's get wiped out they have usually made up their points cost... (Easily)

By the Fluff the avatar should be immune to anything heat based since his "body is fashioned from burning iron flooded with glowing magma", but the rule states just Melta weapons Flamers, and Heavy Flamers can not wound him.

yeah, they are only Str7 and AP3. No Twin-linked.

and GKs are not OP. the rules are actually quite balanced, just very powerful.
