Vikings rape and pillage.
In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo there's a lot of rape. So half way there. Now someone needs to connect Vikings to old people doing it and we're golden.

Yeah I got that part, but unfortunately Ahtman hasn't really explained his interpretation of the viking connections in the story. Nor do I think he wants to.

Were your keen senses able to deduce that after the first time I explicitly said I wouldn't gave away anything or the second time I did? Though, you also don't seem to have learned much from either post where I did say you might want to look up a certain concept. So if you want to pretend someone is dodging something look closer to home.

Re-appropriation as far as I'm aware are words that were once offensive in the past but there modern meanings have often been changed. But how's that really related to what were discussing?

Then you don't really know everything the concept can encompass; that is an example or reappropriation, not the the thing in and of itself.

You can re-appropriate land, culture, objects, music, ideas, etc but wouldn't it be easier if you just specified instead of throwing around loose terms.

That's enough to put me off. =|
I actually think that cover is better than the original.

Nope. See the movie or read the book and come to your own conclusions. Do you realize you just admitted that you can reappropriate music but this entire time have been acting as if a song only has one meaning and everyone must stick to that one meaning or else they are doing something wrong?

I think I get where you're coming from basically the trailer is using the song for something else other than the original artists (Led Zeppelin) intended meaning, correct?
