I chose 'Other'. Thanks to the fluff and minis, I will still collect and paint my GW armies but at my own pace (and probably secondhand). I don't think I'll ever play any GW games again because I find that there are way better rules/gameplay from other systems than GWs.

Other: I will keep playing, but will use things like ebay/miniwargaming. Being in Australia sucks :/

I didn't include "I'll play and still buy used & trade minis...." because I wanted GW (if they see this) to understand reasons people are (or might) leave, in relation to a business sense....

.......top reasons are because of prices being too high, customer service & loyalty being so poor, perception of quality of miniatures faltering, and updates to rules and game play too slow in coming...

34% said they will still play (10% will continue to buy while 18% will not purchase though)....

I ticked a number of reasons as there was no single reason why I left GW. It was an accumulation of various **** from GW that caused me to leave. Whilst Failcast/embargo/price increase were the nails in the coffin that gave me inspiration to leave GW, poor quality rules and the lack of rules updates is the main reason I left GW.

I won't stop playing GW games, but I will slow down on my purchases of GW models. Already, I'm thinking that the only models I'll be buying in the future will be Forge World if anything....

I'll slow down my GW purchasing due to price increases, go look at other games, etc. But I won't stop.

I've stopped playing GW games several times in the past.
Generally it's because I wanted a change.

I went back to GW games because I moved and the new club didn't play anything BUT GW games (and the other local one only played Warmachine).

If and when I stop playing again, it will be because I'm tired of the game, the players and/or I want a change again.

I generally pick a more generic ruleset though, so that generic humans and generic power armour and generic tanks can still be used from my other games.

The only reason I would stop playing would be if I found a pen and paper RPG group that met rather regularly, purchasing stuff for the hobby would be another story. By meeting regularly I mean that there is a decent group of players that can commit to meeting up at least once every week or every other week, and has fun playing the game.

No option for "I primarily paint". Bad poll. It's that "I Hate GW and I'm Raging" thread again reworded.

While I'm not completely against giving more money to GW, I plan to avoid it where possible while still developing my current army. This means alot more trawling eBay rather than buying brand new. I'd consider buying a couple of Tervigons new should the mysterious 2nd wave of nids ever surface, but not much else.

I have no desire to spend a fortune on Finecast when the equivalent metal can be found for half the price on eBay in decent (if not better) condition. If they had used the move to a cheaper material to redesign old mini's or reduce / freeze prices I'd be more inclined to give GW my money.
As things stand, I'm happier helping people unloading 2nd hand to sell their way out of the hobby instead.

I'll continue to do what I do now which is buy from whichever company I like that is selling affordable products that I like. Games Workshop currently falls into the category of affordable models that I like.

You do realize because a single person can vote with multiple options, a person who has no issue with GW can only select one option where someone disatisfied can select 8. Basically giving that person 8 times the voting power, meaning your percentages are not at all representative of the number of people voting or how people feel. Biased broken poll is biased.

Indeed. I don't care what you think of GW, but theft is still theft, no matter how you try and justify it.

I quit because nothing on their website explicitly stated that "40k" actually meant the cost to assemble an army.

Pricing seems to be the top reason thus far that would cause people to stop playing, expanding, or even starting a GW army....

I primarily paint. I'm a bit exasperated with GW (gasp) but I don't think I'll quit collecting and painting their models.

I voted for the price increase. The holes in the game play are a close second though.

Don't get me wrong, I want Warhammer to succeed but I don't see that happening if GW keeps making poor decisions.
