But you need to blow open their raiders first, and if your taking eradicators, then you arn't taking hydras, so you need to have chimaras with multi-lasors, or hevay weapon squads with autocannons.
Heavy bolters work surprisingly well agains DE tanks

The one place outside of special tailored lists that I could see the Eradicator is as a solitary unit brought along to deal with stealthy enemies. Things like Eldar Pathfinders, who are otherwise really hard to kill at range, or kroot.

Theres not much to it, its basically a hellhound except way slower, less reliable, and more expensive. Is there any way to redeem this anti infantry tank? A few ideas I have had but dont know if they're any good
Give it AP3
-Make this the perfect marine killer. Makes the colossus even less useful though and also steps on the toes of the banewolf.
Give it Barrage
-A bit of a weird choice but I kinda picture the erdicator as a mortar tank like the Churchill AVRE. could give a bit of an edge over the normal battlecannon. 2 griffons though could easily outperform it unless you're going against a lot of cover saves or you want to be mobile
Lower the cost
-Simple price reduction, down to normal leman russ price or even conqueror price (130)
thoughts?
That's the autocannon one, right? Just put the gun on a hellhound chassis and call it a day. Having anything other than a 'cannon' on a Russ is silly.

Bump it up in strength and range, that way it can perform some anti transport work if it happens to be up against the wrong enemy list.
Say:
Str 7 or 8 (8 will make orks and tyranids cry due to instant death a lot though), Rng 60in, AP 4, ignores cover Ordnance (for the extra anti vehicle oomph).
Gives it two useful niches instead of just one and broadens its appeal immensely.
