It's not like guard would... They don't have fleet, they don't have an OT vehicle and their specialty is in las and special weapon spam.

That's the whole point. IG can't do it because they are holding the line and bring more firepower than anyone else. Dark Eldar can do it because they basically ditched all firepower and armor for speed.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Erm... Splinter Cannons? Blasters? Dark Lances? Splinter Weapons in general? Much better than your average guardsman...

Yeah, and Stompas are better than Sentinels... IG can't do anything! :p

Guardsmen are cheaper.
Their vehicles are cheaper.
Depending on the squad, they get more special weapons.
Their weapons are more cost-effective.
They have what I believe to be a better inherent army-wide rule (Orders vs. PfP).

Do we really need to analyze the difference between two armies and discuss why they are different, when talking about a rule that A) makes sense as was stated earlier and B) was most likely created for balance?

Go play a few dozen games, with a variety of codexes, while allowing units to shoot out of cruising vehicles. There's a lot less decision making and tactics in the game when that happens.

I really don't know what's funnier - you getting the interaction between deff rollas and death or glory wrong, or you failing to connect the sentinel <> stompa comparison to your guardsman <> entire Dark Eldar army comparison.

If he took 2d6 hits; then he DoG'ed.

If he DoG'ed, we can assume it was with a weapon capable of damaging the BW(why take an extra d6 if you have little to no chance to destroy/stop the BW).

Even if the BW is destroyed by the DoG, the unit that was shocked still takes the 2d6 hits.

The hits have no AP value, therefore Saves are available; that means the BW can cause 12 hits on a unit and there is still a chance no models are killed(especially since 2 of those hits will not wound, Statistically).

So the funniest part is you not seeming to understand the Deff Rolla <===> Death or Glory interactions.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Do not ask me why, that is just the rules afaik.

I am drunk so if someone can back me up that would be good.

Your drunk posting is better than most sober posters! This is correct. It's different with "fast" vehicles, but these are the basics.

It is not different with fast vehicles.

This thread gave me an idea about Whirlwinds. Allow infantry to embark and immediately be shot and deployed via Deep strike within 48" of the whirlwind.

Angry marines did it!

In the joke Angry marine codex they had the "Predator Angrinator" which was a Troop transport that could only have the marines disembark via being fired out of the Whirlwind launcher; the Side sponsons added transport capacity(form 6 in the top wracks to 10 with 2/sponson).
