You know, I normally hate basing decisions on fluff, but the Templar fluff is awesome and the Blood angels are...space vampires? Really? Do they sparkle in sunlight too?

Really, psycho manic depressive mother f-ers running around with their weapons chained to themselves hacking the sh-t out of anyone who stands in their path? Also there are over 6,000 of them, they thumb their noses at the Codex Astartes and every fight is like bring your kid to work day with the neohytes.

Seriously, how hard is that? Hey, you have some of the implants and you seem tough enough, here's some shoulder pads and a shotgun, come with me to a battle you have no hope of surviving. If you make it through a couple hundred of these, then MAYBE you'll be worthy to wear the mark of the templars, but I doubt it.

Space Vampires or insane ever vigilant Knights. Think about it.

Well you like Templar fluff and iconography, but the Blood Angels have a 5th edition codex and modern rules.

Simple. Create a crusading chapter, use Templar iconography with a different colour scheme (Red Templars?) and the Blood Angel rules.

Obvious hyperbole is obvious. Nazi tanks weren't black and the Maltese Cross is older than most modern European countries, including Germany. Drinking the blood of your enemies while looking good is kinda typical for a vampire... The fact that you hate something doesn't change the fact that it, in this case, is true.

First of all black Templars have already started to get redone by gw.
Now when you first posted about bt hqs being weak their not, their quite strong it depends on how you use them. I know my hqs for bt take down a hell of slot of stuff before they die, or if they die. Bt is fun to go theirs not really meant peeps out their. But if ur a tournament person i would go ba since they can have aussult marines for troop choices and have a better choice in tanks

Play what you think you would most enjoy, irregardless of how many others play it. Just play an alternate list or style if it bothers you too much.
I've played a Blood Angel list with bikes just to see how it does, extremely well versus Tau btw
I've played Blood Angel DOA list, Mech list,and even combined all the above. Some do well, some not so much
BUT I have fun.

Even though this or that codex can field something cheaper or better, play the army you love ,whether from model looks or fluff or gameplayThen jump in and play,develop tactics and a feel for your army and you'll be "in the zone". It is great to see a Good player with an outdated codex just stomp a Fotm army
